04Getting to the plant from each home cluster

Regal Marine's plant and headquarters sit on the south side of Orlando, near the airport, which puts it on a different line than the downtown and northwest destinations most of our other pages track. The chart below breaks out the exact drive from every home, and the map places each one by direction and drive time from the plant.

Fruit Tree Home in Holden Heights is about 22 minutes from the plant by road, without traffic. Amelia’s Arena Retreat in Parramore and Game Day Getaway-Downtown Orlando in Washington Shores are each about 26 minutes. Further out, Piedmont runs about 29 minutes and Meet. Play. Stay. about 28; the Head Avenue, Entertainment and Cozy houses in the northwest cluster are each about 30; Downtown & Stadium Cozy Retreat is about 33, and the Katherine and Wekiwa houses are about 35.

The pattern on the map mostly follows the rest of the portfolio: the downtown-edge and south-of-downtown homes, plus most of the west-side cluster, run 22 to 29 minutes from the plant, and the northwest cluster, the Head Avenue, Entertainment, Londonderry, Cozy and Katherine houses, runs 30 to 35. Wekiwa Home is the exception on the west side: its drive comes in at 35 minutes, matching the top of the northwest cluster's range. Two homes in different directions can still land on the same minute figure, so it's worth reading the map alongside the neighborhood pages below.

The corridors

Every cluster on this page keeps quick access to I-4, and it's the road most guests use for the crossing to the south side. SR-408 also comes into play for the Amelia and Dollins houses, both of which list it as a quick route; it's tolled by transponder or by plate, and a SunPass or E-PASS pays for itself over a multi-week assignment with regular trips to the plant. I-4 itself is free but carries the metro's heaviest volume, so a shift that starts at 6 or 7 a.m. crosses the worst of the morning commute heading the other way, while a day that ends in the late afternoon can meet the build-up heading out of the city. The minutes above are typical road-routing times without traffic; Orlando's rush hours add to the longer routes more than the short ones.

05A month for engineers and relocating staff

An engineer or a manufacturing specialist relocating in for a plant role often starts with a house-hunt: thirty, sixty, sometimes ninety days in Orlando while a lease or a home purchase comes together. A furnished house works for that stretch in a way a hotel room doesn't. You can cook, spread paperwork across a real table, and keep a normal week going while you look at neighborhoods and schools, with its own kitchen, laundry, parking and front door at one monthly rate. The agreement runs month to month, so if the search takes longer than planned, you simply extend.

A process specialist on a shorter assignment, in for a few weeks to get a new line running or troubleshoot a changeover, has a different problem: somewhere private to land after a twelve-hour day on the floor, with a stocked kitchen for a real home-cooked dinner. The written agreement names the home, the dates, the rate and the deposit, and the monthly receipts are itemized, so an expense report or a relocation reimbursement has what it needs. Wi-Fi is on from day one at every home, which matters if part of the job is still a video call back to a home office or another plant.

If a spouse or a family comes along for the relocation, the same three homes still work: Amelia’s Arena Retreat and Fruit Tree Home both suit a smaller household well, and a pet can usually come too. Several homes accept pets, and the policy and any deposit are confirmed in writing before you commit. 06For training cohorts and plant contractors

Dealer and technician training brings a different kind of stay to this page: a group in Orlando for a week or two to learn a product line, then gone. Rather than block a hotel room per person, a training cohort splits one furnished house and one agreement, which is simpler for whoever is coordinating it. Game Day Getaway-Downtown Orlando sleeps 13 across four bedrooms, enough for a cohort that would otherwise need several hotel rooms, with a kitchen so the group can eat in together after a long training day.

A contractor crew on a plant project, adding a line or working a shutdown, has the same shape on a longer timeline: several people, a few weeks to a few months, one address. If a crew's vehicles run larger than a driveway comfortably holds, Piedmont in Washington Shores, about 29 minutes from the plant, has a concrete parking pad built for several vehicles; ask us about it when you book. Laundry is the detail that matters most after a shift on a manufacturing floor. Every home in the portfolio has a washer and dryer; Fruit Tree Home, The Clue House, Cozy Home and Wekiwa Home have the full-size version rather than a stacked or combo unit, so work clothes go straight into the machine.

The 25th Street House in Holden Heights is about 22 minutes from the plant. It's a three-bedroom, two-bathroom bungalow that sleeps 10, with full-size laundry on site, keyless entry, a private driveway and a fenced backyard with fruit trees. It suits one engineer or specialist well and a family of four adequately, and its published street address is simple to enter into a GPS or a relocation packet before you arrive.

The Amelia House in Parramore is about 26 minutes from the plant. Four bedrooms, two bathrooms, sleeps 8, with one bedroom's own attached bathroom, a dining table that seats four, ceiling fans and wall-mounted TVs in the bedrooms, and a fenced backyard shaded by mature trees. Its downtown-edge location suits a single relocating engineer or two colleagues sharing for a short project.

The Dollins House, also about 26 minutes away, sits on a shaded lot of mature oaks in Washington Shores. Four bedrooms, two bathrooms, sleeps 13, with blackout curtains in the bedrooms for anyone working a night shift or an early line start, a private driveway and a partially fenced backyard. It's the pick on this page for the bigger group: a training cohort, a crew, or a family joined by relatives for a longer relocation.

08Billing for an employer, agency or relocation coordinator

A Regal Marine assignment usually means someone other than the guest is arranging or paying for the stay: an HR department, a staffing agency, a relocation coordinator, or the guest themselves expensing it afterward. All of those work the same way here. The written agreement can be made out to the company, the agency or the individual, whichever is paying, and the monthly invoice follows that name. We provide a W-9 and a certificate of insurance on request; Libema carries a commercial landlord liability policy. If your finance team needs anything else beyond that, such as a specific invoice format, ask early so it's ready before the first invoice goes out.

Established companies, staffing agencies and insurers can set up net-30 terms on a signed agreement or purchase order, so the first invoice doesn't have to clear before the move-in date. The first booking is paid up front to hold the home; after that, terms follow whatever's been agreed in writing. None of this applies to a leisure stay: a relocating engineer paying their own way, or a family along for a longer assignment, books the same way any guest does, with the rate and deposit confirmed in writing and an itemized receipt each month.

09Around the Regal Marine campus

Regal Marine Industries builds powerboats and yachts at a family-owned plant and headquarters on the south side of Orlando, near the airport, employing about 700 people. It's a manufacturing operation with engineering and process roles keeping the lines running, and the company also brings in dealers and technicians from outside Orlando for product training on new models. That's advanced manufacturing: on the ground it generally means engineering, assembly, quality and process work, which is part of why the stays we see tend to run weeks or months rather than a single night. This page exists because Regal Marine shows up often enough in relocation packets and training-cohort bookings to earn its own set of drive-time numbers, the same treatment we give the hospitals and the theme parks elsewhere on the site.

That's what we can confirm about the campus itself, and we won't stretch beyond it. We're independent of Regal Marine and don't have access to the plant; for directions, parking or a site tour, your contact at the company or your agency is the right person to ask.

10Daily life around Parramore, Washington Shores and Holden Heights

Whatever the shift or the project timeline, the hours away from the plant happen in the neighborhood around the home, not at Regal Marine itself. All three of the closest homes sit close to the middle of Orlando, in Parramore, Holden Heights and Washington Shores, so groceries, food and parks are close by even though the plant itself is a drive south.

Groceries and food

Near the Amelia and 25th Street houses, the Publix at The Paramount on Lake Eola is the downtown store, and there's another Publix on South Orange Avenue near Holden Heights. Near Game Day Getaway-Downtown Orlando in Washington Shores, the closest big stores are the Walmart Supercenter on West Princeton Street and the Presidente Supermarket on Pine Hills Road, both a short drive northwest. For food, Nikki's Place on South Orange Blossom Trail has served soul food since 1999 and sits a few minutes from the Washington Shores homes. Downtown and Church Street, five to ten minutes from the Parramore and Holden Heights homes, cover a wider range of restaurants and bars.

Parks and getting around

Lake Eola Park, downtown, has a roughly one-mile sidewalk loop, rentable swan boats and a Sunday farmers market from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Lake Lorna Doone Park, a short drive from Game Day Getaway-Downtown Orlando, reopened in 2021 after an eight-million-dollar rebuild and has a walking loop, outdoor fitness stations and a splash pad. The Downtown Orlando YMCA on North Mills Avenue is a full-service gym with two pools, within reach of all three homes. Two SunRail stations, LYNX Central and Church Street, and the free LYMMO bus circulate downtown; getting to the plant itself still means a car. Pharmacies

The Publix pharmacy at Lake Eola plus CVS and Walgreens within a few blocks cover the Amelia and 25th Street houses. For Game Day Getaway-Downtown Orlando, pharmacies sit along Orange Blossom Trail and West Colonial Drive, including a Walmart pharmacy.

11What's in the house

Amelia’s Arena Retreat, Game Day Getaway-Downtown Orlando and Fruit Tree Home all publish their street address on the site, which is convenient for a relocation form or a badge application before you arrive; six of our thirteen homes do, and these three are among them. Ceiling fans are standard in all three. None of the three has a pool; they're residential houses. Bed and bath counts are the counts in each home's own listing, and a sofa is never counted as a bed. For any of the three, ask about specific dates before you book; nightly, weekly and monthly bookings run side by side across the portfolio, and availability shifts as they do.
