Pet-friendly furnished homes in Orlando

Traveling or relocating with a pet? A furnished house with a yard is a far kinder base than a hotel room. Tell us about your pet and we'll match you to a home that welcomes it.

Finding a monthly furnished rental that takes pets is one of the hardest parts of a work assignment or a move. A whole house makes it easier: a yard to step out into, room for a crate or a bed, and no front desk to negotiate with every time you come and go. Not every home has the same pet policy, so we handle it the plain way: tell us about your animal and we'll point you to a Libema home that can welcome it.

A yard, not a hotel corridor

Most of our homes sit on their own lot with a yard, and a private driveway right at the door.

Room for the whole household

A whole furnished house means your pet settles in with you: separate rooms, a real kitchen, and space that a single hotel room can't offer.

Clear about the policy

Pet policies, deposits, and any size notes vary by home. We tell you exactly what a home allows before you book; no surprises on arrival.

Built for a longer stay

Monthly terms suit a 13-week contract or a relocation, so your pet isn't uprooted every few nights.

A day with a pet in one of our houses

Every Libema home comes with its own private parking, a driveway, a carport, or a parking pad, so the first thing you do with a dog or a cat is step out of the car onto your own patch of ground, not into a shared lobby. There is no elevator to wait for and no hallway of other doors to pass with a leash in hand. You let yourself in with keyless entry or a lockbox, and from that point the house is yours: the kitchen, the laundry, and whatever yard that particular home has, for as long as you have booked it.

That last part is different from house to house, which is why we ask about the pet before we point you to one. A dog that needs room to run in the morning is a different match than a cat that is happy on a screened porch, and a young puppy that chews on everything is a different match again from an older dog that mostly sleeps through the day. Tell us the type, size and number of pets when you inquire, and we will name the two or three homes that actually fit rather than hand you the list of twelve.

The policy itself, and any deposit, is confirmed in writing before you commit, the same way the monthly or nightly rate and the dates are. Nothing about a pet stay gets settled verbally at check-in.

Once you are in, the house runs the way any of our stays run. You cook in a real kitchen instead of eating out every night, you do laundry in the house instead of hauling a bag to a laundromat, and you park where you sleep instead of circling a block. For a pet, that means its routine barely changes: same feeding times, same short walk before the day starts, just a different front door.

The homes with a yard for a pet

The pet policy, and the yard behind each house, are confirmed one home at a time rather than as a single portfolio-wide answer. Three of the ones we point to most often for a pet are these.

The Amelia House in Parramore has a fenced backyard with mature shade trees and its own concrete driveway, about 7 minutes from downtown Orlando and 8 from Lake Eola Park. The 25th Street House in Holden Heights also has a fenced backyard, with fruit trees on the lot and a private driveway, 6 minutes from downtown and 8 from Lake Eola. The Head Avenue House in Pine Hills has a fenced yard and its own driveway on a six-bedroom property that sleeps up to fifteen, which helps if a family or a group is traveling with a pet and needs more than one bedroom under the same roof.

Three more homes carry a yard worth knowing about before you book. The Piedmont House has a fenced grassy backyard and a large parking pad that fits several vehicles. The Dollins House has a partially fenced backyard shaded by mature oak trees. And the newest house in the portfolio, the Meet & Play House in Malibu Groves, has a fenced backyard with a cornhole set, an attached garage, and a portable crib on hand for a family that needs one, about 9 minutes from downtown.

A few homes are worth a plain note rather than a sales pitch. The Katherine House has a fenced backyard and a screened porch with patio seating. What it does have is a screened porch with patio seating and a grill and its own private concrete driveway, and it sits a short walk from a community park with a playground and courts, which suits a leashed morning walk more than off-leash time in a yard. The Sunset Lake House has a fenced backyard that is currently being refreshed, so for now it works for walking a pet rather than letting one off leash. The Londonderry House is in the same spot: the backyard is being worked on and is for pet walking only at the moment. And the Wekiwa House, the smallest home in the portfolio, has a small front yard with shrubs rather than a lawn, which suits a single traveler or a couple with a calmer pet more than a dog that needs a yard to work off energy in.

The drive to downtown, Lake Eola and Wekiwa Springs

By road and without traffic, every one of our homes is between 6 and 17 minutes from downtown Orlando and between 8 and 18 minutes from Lake Eola Park, close enough together that the two trips look alike most days. Wekiwa Springs State Park, the one destination on this page that sits out in nature rather than in the city, runs from 18 minutes at Wekiwa Home to 29 minutes at Piedmont. Orlando's rush hours add time to the longer end of every one of these ranges.

The graphic below sets each home in its real position and distance from downtown Orlando, with the space between the center and each dot standing for drive minutes rather than miles.

A few figures are worth calling out on their own. Wekiwa Home sits 18 minutes from Wekiwa Springs and Downtown & Stadium Cozy Retreat 19. Wekiwa Home sits west of Pine Hills in the Hiawassee area, on the west side of the portfolio, while Downtown & Stadium Cozy Retreat, in Pine Hills itself, is in the northwest part of the portfolio. The downtown-edge homes, Amelia’s Arena Retreat and Fruit Tree Home, sit 24 and 28 minutes from the springs but only 6 to 7 minutes from downtown and 8 from Lake Eola, so the trip you make most often with a leash in hand is the short one, not the drive out to the park.

What's already in the house for a pet

Every home comes with furniture, beds and linens already made up, a stocked kitchen with cookware and dishes, a washer and dryer, Wi-Fi, and private parking, confirmed in writing at booking. None of that changes because a pet is coming along, and none of it is billed as an add-on.

Exact inclusions vary a little by home and are confirmed in writing when you book.

For a pet specifically, the parts that matter most are the ones already listed above. Private parking at the door instead of a shared garage means no elevator ride with a nervous dog. A washer and dryer in the house means the towel you keep by the back door gets washed at home, not carried to a laundromat. No pool at any of our thirteen homes means there is no pool gate or pool fence to manage, fenced yard or not.

What we do not do is publish a flat pet fee or a set deposit amount on the site. The rate, and any pet deposit, vary by home and by the length of the stay, and we would rather give you the real number in writing than post a figure that does not hold for every house.

Booking a pet stay and what to expect at check-in

A monthly stay with a pet is booked directly with us on a written agreement, the same as any other monthly stay: the home, the dates, the rate and the deposit are all set out before you pay, and the pet policy and any pet deposit go into that same agreement instead of being handled on the side. If you are staying a night or a week rather than a month, that runs through the home's own Airbnb or Vrbo listing, and each platform applies its own pet policy and pet fee on top of whatever we confirm for the house itself.

Extensions work the way they do for any guest: by the month. If a relocation or a house hunt runs long, tell us before the current month ends and we will extend the agreement at the same terms, pet included, rather than asking you to requalify from scratch.

If you are relocating for work, dealing with a displacement while your own home is repaired, or working a travel assignment near one of the hospitals, the booking process is the same one. Our pages on relocation and long-stay housing, insurance and displacement housing, and travel nurse and medical housing cover the paperwork for each of those situations in more depth. A pet does not change which of those applies to you, only which of the thirteen homes we point you toward.

Walks, groceries and parks with a pet

Daily life with a pet mostly comes down to where you walk and where you buy food, and that depends on which cluster your home sits in. Guests at Amelia’s Arena Retreat or Fruit Tree Home, on the downtown edge, are about 8 minutes from Lake Eola Park, which has a roughly one-mile sidewalk loop around the water, a Sunday farmers market from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and resident swans that are best admired from the path rather than approached.

A few minutes north on Edgewater Drive in College Park, Cups & Pups Coffee is a dog-friendly cafe that pours locally roasted Lineage beans, a real stop for a coffee with a dog on the leash instead of left behind in the car. Our downtown area guide covers the rest of that stretch of Edgewater Drive, and the Publix at The Paramount on Lake Eola handles groceries for that cluster.

On the west side, guests at City and Stadium Sanctuary Vibes are close to Lake Lorna Doone Park, a twelve-acre city park north of Camping World Stadium that reopened in 2021 with a walking loop, outdoor fitness stations and a splash pad. It is covered in full in our Washington Shores area guide, along with the Walmart Supercenter on West Princeton Street and the Presidente Supermarket on Pine Hills Road that the west-side homes use for groceries. In Lockhart, WinterPark Home sits a short walk from a community park with a playground and courts, which doubles as an easy morning walk on a quiet residential street.

Wekiwa Springs State Park itself, 18 to 29 minutes from our homes depending which one you book, is a state park with its own rules about where a pet can go, particularly near the swimming area, so check those before you plan a trip there with a dog. It works better as an outing for the people in the group, with the pet back at a fenced yard, or as a leashed walk on the parts of the park that allow it.

What guests said

The reviews below are real, pulled verbatim from each home's own Airbnb listing with the reviewer's name and the month they stayed. None of the reviews we have on file happen to mention a pet by name, so we are not going to pretend otherwise. What they do describe, again and again, is a quiet house on a residential street, which is the same thing most dogs and cats settle into fastest.

Angella, who stayed at The Clue House in August 2026, wrote: 'My stay was very good. Close to everywhere without the traffic. My family and I was safe and felt at home.' Cristina, who booked Meet. Play. Stay. for a full month in July 2026, wrote: 'Absolute great stay. The place was clean. I had everything I needed to make it a long-term stay. I was in this Airbnb for 30 days.'

A checklist before you book with a pet

The stays that go smoothest with a pet tend to have these sorted out before the first night.

  • Tell us about the pet first. Type, size, and how many. That is what decides which of the thirteen homes we suggest, not the other way around.
  • Ask about the yard, not just the pet policy. A fully fenced yard, a partially fenced one, and a yard that is being refreshed for walking only are three different things, and we will tell you which one applies to the home you are looking at.
  • Get the deposit in writing. Any pet deposit is confirmed alongside the monthly or nightly rate before you pay, never added once you arrive.
  • Pick the right booking channel. A month or longer runs through a written agreement with us directly; a night or a week runs through the home's Airbnb or Vrbo listing, which carries its own pet terms.
  • Bring what your pet already knows. Its own bed, bowl, and food. The house is fully furnished for you, not stocked for an animal.
  • Line up a vet before you need one. If you are staying more than a few weeks, find a local veterinary clinic near your home before the day you actually need it.
  • Plan the parks into your week. Lake Eola Park runs 8 to 18 minutes from our homes and Wekiwa Springs State Park runs 18 to 29; decide up front which trips you will make with the pet along and which you will not.

Send us that list along with your dates and we will come back with two or three homes that fit, the yard situation for each one, and the exact drive time to the places you plan to go.

More reading for pet owners

Two of our guides go further than this page does. One matches all thirteen homes to the kind of stay people actually book, and the other is a day-by-day checklist for the first week in a furnished house in a new city.

For the housing situation underneath the pet, our pages on relocation and long-stay housing, travel nurse and medical housing, and insurance and displacement housing cover the paperwork and the billing in full.

Good to know

Common questions.

Do all your homes allow pets?

Not every home has the same pet policy. Tell us about your pet, its type, size, and how many, and we'll match you to a Libema home that can welcome it, and confirm any deposit in writing.

Is there a pet deposit or fee?

Where a home allows pets, there may be a deposit or fee that varies by home. We'll tell you the exact terms before you commit.

Do the homes have yards?

Most of our homes sit on their own lot with a yard and a private driveway. Two yards are being refreshed and are for walking pets only at the moment; we'll point you to the ones that best suit a pet.

Which of your homes have a fenced yard?

Six of our homes have a fully fenced yard: Amelia’s Arena Retreat, Fruit Tree Home, The Clue House, Piedmont, WinterPark Home, and Meet. Play. Stay.. Game Day Getaway-Downtown Orlando has a partially fenced backyard, and City and Stadium Sanctuary Vibes's fence is being refreshed, so for now it suits a leashed walk rather than off-leash time. Tell us your pet's needs and we will confirm which yard the home you are looking at has.

Can I bring more than one pet, or a larger dog?

Tell us the number, type and size when you inquire. The pet policy and any deposit are set per home and confirmed in writing, so a single cat and two large dogs are two different conversations, not one blanket answer. We would rather match you to a home that actually fits the household than say yes to everything and sort it out at check-in.

Do I need a different kind of agreement for a monthly stay with a pet?

No separate paperwork. The pet policy, the pet deposit if there is one, and the type and number of pets go into the same written agreement that already covers the home, the dates and the rate. Nightly and weekly stays run through the home's own Airbnb or Vrbo listing instead, and that platform's pet terms apply on top of whatever we confirm directly with you.

Can I walk my dog around Lake Eola?

Yes. Lake Eola Park has a roughly one-mile sidewalk loop around the water, and since it is a public park rather than one we manage, the posted rules on leashes apply. Amelia’s Arena Retreat and Fruit Tree Home, on the downtown edge, are about 8 minutes away by road; homes farther out run up to 18 minutes.

Is Wekiwa Springs State Park a place I can bring my dog?

Wekiwa Springs is a Florida state park, not one of our properties, and it sets its own rules about pets, especially near the swimming area, so check those before you go. What we can tell you is the drive: 18 minutes from Wekiwa Home up to 29 minutes from the far side of the portfolio. It works better as an outing for the people in the group, with the pet back at a fenced yard.

What happens if the home I want does not take pets?

We point you to a different one. Not every Libema home has the same pet policy or the same kind of yard, so if your first choice does not fit, tell us your dates and what you are traveling with and we will suggest another of the thirteen that does, usually the same day.

Ready when you are

Tell us your dates and what brings you to Orlando.

We'll point you to the homes that fit, usually the same day. Nights, weeks or months.
