Furnished homes in Lockhart.
Just north of the city along Orange Blossom Trail: the closest of our areas to AdventHealth Altamonte and Winter Park, with fast I-4 access.
About Lockhart
Lockhart is a settled community north of Orlando along US-441 (Orange Blossom Trail), sitting between the city and Altamonte Springs. For travel clinicians it has a specific advantage: it is the closest of our neighborhoods to AdventHealth Altamonte Springs and AdventHealth Winter Park, a straightforward hop up the road or the interstate, while downtown Orlando stays a quick run south on I-4.
WinterPark Home anchors our presence here: a furnished three-bedroom home with a screened porch and a private driveway on a quiet residential street, a short walk from a community park with a playground and courts, and a comfortable pick for a family relocation, a season, or a longer assignment.
Where Lockhart sits
Lockhart runs along US-441, the old Orange Blossom Trail, in zip code 32810, on the northern edge of what we group together as Northwest Orlando. Northwest Orlando covers three zip codes in all, 32808, 32810 and 32818, spanning Pine Hills, Rosemont, Lockhart and Hiawassee. It sits between the city and Altamonte Springs rather than inside either one: unincorporated Orange County, established and residential, with I-4 close enough to make both directions an easy run. That's a different position from our other Northwest Orlando cluster in Pine Hills, which leans on the SR-408 expressway further south; Lockhart leans on I-4 and US-441 instead.

Altamonte Springs, just to the north, is close enough that it functions as an extension of Lockhart for shopping and errands even though it's a separate city. Winter Park's Park Avenue, the walkable shopping and dining strip east of I-4, is about 8 minutes from WinterPark Home, which puts a dinner out or a Saturday coffee within easy reach rather than a special trip. Rosemont, the neighboring pocket of green streets around Lake Orlando, and Pine Hills further south share the same Northwest Orlando designation and the same access to I-4, though each has its own character and its own homes.
The neighborhood itself is older, with modest single-story homes built close to one another on quiet residential streets rather than large lots. It isn't a polished suburb, and we say so plainly on WinterPark Home's own page: it's a concrete-block house on a block like the rest of it, not a new build.
Getting around from Lockhart
The two directions that matter from Lockhart are north on I-4 toward AdventHealth Altamonte Springs and AdventHealth Winter Park, and south on I-4 toward downtown Orlando. From WinterPark Home, Altamonte is about 12 minutes and Winter Park is about 6, both a straightforward run up the interstate or along US-441. Downtown Orlando is about 13 minutes south, and AdventHealth Orlando's main campus, off the interstate near the city core, is about 10.
That chart makes the shape of the portfolio clear. Our homes split into a southern cluster around downtown, Parramore and Washington Shores that runs 19 to 24 minutes to Altamonte, and Lockhart in the north at 12, closer to the Altamonte and Winter Park campuses because of which direction it sits in. If an assignment or a family's stay is anchored at either northern campus, the drive works in Lockhart's favor in a way it doesn't for the rest of the portfolio.
On the map, WinterPark Home sits north of AdventHealth Orlando rather than clustered with the other homes to the west and south, which is exactly why the drive north to Altamonte and Winter Park is short from this house and longer from the others. Coming from WinterPark Home, the route into AdventHealth Orlando runs south on US-441 or down I-4, depending on which one is moving faster that day.
The drive to the hospitals and downtown
Across the three AdventHealth campuses to the north and downtown to the south, the numbers move in opposite directions depending on which home in the portfolio you're comparing to Lockhart. WinterPark Home is 12 minutes from AdventHealth Altamonte and 6 from AdventHealth Winter Park; the homes further south, in Parramore and Washington Shores, run 19 to 24 minutes to Altamonte and 14 to 18 to Winter Park. Downtown Orlando flips the pattern: WinterPark Home is 13 minutes away, while several homes further south are under 10.

Typical road-routing times without traffic; Orlando rush hours add to the longer routes.
Camping World Stadium, if a stay happens to line up with a game or a concert, runs about 15 minutes from WinterPark Home, and the Kia Center is a little closer at about 12. Both are longer drives than most of the other homes make, since Lockhart sits north of downtown while the stadium district sits southwest of it. AdventHealth Orlando itself, on Rollins Street near downtown, is 10 minutes from WinterPark Home, the same as the drive from a couple of the other homes and shorter than the trip several of the southern homes make up to the northern campuses. Orlando Health's downtown campus, including ORMC and Arnold Palmer and Winnie Palmer, runs 16 to 17 minutes from WinterPark Home, a bit longer than the AdventHealth drives since that campus sits further into the downtown core.
Daily life in Lockhart
Lockhart itself is residential, so the closest supermarkets, restaurants and gyms sit a short drive south on the corridor formed by Pine Hills Road and West Colonial Drive, the same corridor our Pine Hills & Northwest Orlando area guide covers in full. It holds some of the best everyday grocery shopping in the metro.
Groceries
Presidente Supermarket, a Latin grocer at 2722 North Pine Hills Road, sits at Silver Star Road with a cafeteria and juice counter inside. A few blocks south on West Colonial, Caribbean Supercenter at 5111 West Colonial Drive has anchored Caribbean shopping in the area for decades, and Enson Market at 5132 West Colonial Drive is a large Asian supermarket in the Chinatown plaza next door. For a full-line American supermarket, the Walmart Supercenter at 3101 West Princeton Street is the nearest big box, and the closest Publix is a further drive south to Metro West Village on South Hiawassee Road.

Food
The everyday food along this corridor is Caribbean and Latin. Island Jam Caribbean Cuisine, at 2615 North Pine Hills Road, is a well-reviewed Haitian kitchen known for griot and fried plantains. Golden Krust, at West Colonial and North Kirkman (5503 West Colonial Drive), is the reliable stop for Jamaican beef patties, jerk chicken and oxtail. Smaller independent Caribbean, Latin and West African spots line Pine Hills Road and West Colonial beyond those two, worth trying a few of over a longer stay.
Parks and fitness
Barnett Park, at 4801 West Colonial Drive, is the big one nearby: 159 acres with a free splash pad that runs in timed sessions through the warm months, playgrounds, walking trails, disc golf, and basketball and volleyball courts, plus a recreation center with a fitness room. The Silver Star Recreation Center adds a second public option with programs of its own. For a private gym there's a 24-hour Planet Fitness on Silver Star Road toward Ocoee, and the usual chains sit along West Colonial. Rene's Dynamic Sports Center on Silver Star Road covers boxing and martial arts. Closer to home, the community park a short walk from WinterPark Home covers the everyday version of the same thing: a playground and courts without getting in the car.
Outdoors
For a weekend outdoors, Wekiwa Springs State Park is about 20 minutes from WinterPark Home, a clear spring where you can swim, snorkel or rent a canoe. Lake Eola Park downtown, with its sidewalk loop and Sunday farmers market, is about 14 minutes. The Central Florida Fairgrounds and Orlando Amphitheater, on the southern edge of Pine Hills, host the Central Florida Fair each spring and concerts through the year, about 15 minutes from WinterPark Home.
Pharmacies
Pharmacies are easy to reach along Silver Star Road and Pine Hills Road, CVS and Walgreens among them, plus the pharmacy counter at the Walmart on Princeton Street. The closest emergency rooms are AdventHealth Orlando to the south and AdventHealth Altamonte to the north, both a straightforward drive from WinterPark Home.
WinterPark Home
WinterPark Home is a three-bedroom, one-bathroom home that sleeps 8, freshly renovated with wood-look vinyl plank flooring throughout and a kitchen finished in stainless steel appliances with white quartz-look counters and a tile backsplash. It comes stocked with cookware, dishes and a coffee maker, so the first morning doesn't require a shopping trip. The bathroom has a tiled walk-in shower with a glass door and an LED-lit vanity, and the open living area has a sectional sofa, a wall-mounted TV and ceiling fans in the living room and the bedroom.
It's the one home in our portfolio with a screened porch, set up with patio seating and a grill, the kind of detail that matters on a Florida evening when you'd rather sit outside without the bugs. The front door has a keypad lock, and the private concrete driveway gives you off-street parking without a permit or a shared lot to compete for. We're plain about the rest: it's a modest, older concrete-block home in a close-set neighborhood, the exterior roof trim shows some peeling paint, and the lawn is patchy in spots rather than manicured. None of that touches how the inside runs.
Who stays in Lockhart
WinterPark Home is tagged for travel nurses and medical staff, relocation and long-stay guests, insurance and displacement housing, corporate and business stays, family vacations, snowbird and seasonal stays, and families of patients near the hospitals. That's a wide mix, and the house handles it because it sleeps 8 across three bedrooms without turning into a crowd.
Carolyn, from Roswell, Georgia, stayed here in March 2025 with a group of coworkers: 'A few of my colleagues and I had the pleasure of staying here for a work trip to the Orlando area.' That's the corporate case in one sentence, a team that needs one house and one address instead of splitting up across separate hotel rooms. On the other end, a family settling into a new job at one of the AdventHealth campuses, or a family riding out a stay near a hospital, gets the same three bedrooms and a yard instead of a single hotel room.
Guests spending the winter in Orlando land here too, close enough to Winter Park's shops and restaurants to make a few months feel like more than a stopover. One honest note for families of a patient at Nemours Children's Hospital or the Orlando VA in Lake Nona: that drive from WinterPark Home runs about 42 minutes, longer than from our downtown and west-side homes, so if Lake Nona is the destination, ask us about a home closer to that side of the city.
What guests said about WinterPark Home
WinterPark Home carries 59 reviews on Airbnb at a 4.79 rating, and the ones below are real, taken verbatim with the reviewer's name and the month they stayed.
"Súper recomendable para familias grande yo lugar muy acogedor Tranquilo limpio y seguro"
"Michelle war immer erreichbar und hat unser Problem gelöst, wenn wir eins hatten. Das Haus liegt in einer ruhigen Nachbarschaft und ist komfortabel ausgestattet. Die Unterkunft hat alle Erwartungen erfüllt! Das Preis-Leistungverhältnis ist hervorragend."
"Ido like this home is nice and clean Eveithing it whas good thank you for let me stay there"
"Great stay! The hosts were amazing—very responsive, flexible, and easy to communicate with throughout the entire process. The place was exactly as described and shown in the listing, clean, comfortable, and well-kept. Would definitely stay again!"
William, who stayed in April 2026, put it plainly: 'The place was exactly as described and shown in the listing, clean, comfortable, and well-kept.' That match between the listing and the house is the thing guests mention most, which is also why we list the honesty notes on the home page: better you know about the lawn and the roof trim before you arrive than be surprised by them.
Practical notes for a Lockhart stay
You'll want a car here. Lockhart is a drive-everywhere part of Orlando: LYNX buses run the main roads, but there is no SunRail station or other rail transit this far north, unlike the downtown-edge homes where guests can walk to a station. I-4 and US-441 carry nearly every trip out of Lockhart, north to Altamonte Springs and Winter Park or south to downtown and the hospitals.
Orlando's rush hours add time to the longer routes, so the 13-minute run downtown from WinterPark Home can stretch on a weekday evening, and the same goes for the 12-minute run north to Altamonte during the morning commute. Building in some slack around 7 to 9 a.m. and 4 to 6 p.m. is worth it if a shift or a meeting has a hard start time.
Parking at the house is a private concrete driveway, so there's no permit or street search to deal with coming home late from a shift or a drive back from Winter Park. If you're traveling with a pet, several of our homes accept them and the policy and any deposit are confirmed in writing before you commit, so ask about it when you inquire about WinterPark Home.
Winter Park and its employers
Winter Park sits just past the Winter Park hospital and Park Avenue, and it's home to Full Sail University, the media and entertainment college. From WinterPark Home it's about 19 minutes, a workable run for a student, a staff member or a family visiting during a program. AdventHealth, the health system that runs all three of the northern campuses near Lockhart, is one of Central Florida's largest healthcare employers, which is part of why travel clinicians make up a steady share of who books this house.
Orlando International Airport is about 38 minutes from WinterPark Home, longer than the run from our downtown and west-side homes, so it's worth building extra time into a flight day if you're staying in Lockhart.
