Furnished housing for travel nurses and medical staff in Orlando
A private, furnished house near the hospital, booked by the month, ready the day your assignment starts.
Orlando is one of the busiest travel-healthcare markets in the country, anchored by AdventHealth Orlando and Orlando Health. Libema keeps thirteen furnished, whole-house rentals a short drive from the major campuses, so you get a real home with a kitchen, laundry, and a door that locks, instead of a hotel room or a shared listing.

What a 13-week contract stay looks like here
Most clinicians who stay with us arrive on a Sunday or Monday with a start date, a badge appointment and a car full of scrubs. The first thing they want is a bed that is made, a kitchen that works and a door that locks, and the second thing is to stop thinking about housing for the next three months. That is the whole point of a furnished house booked by the month: the agreement is signed before you land, the address is in your phone, and the house is ready when you pull into the driveway.
A typical stay runs like this. You inquire with your dates and the campus you are assigned to. We point you to the two or three homes that make sense for that commute and confirm the monthly rate, the deposit and the pet policy in writing. You sign a written monthly agreement, pay the first month, and get arrival notes a few days before you move in. On the day, you let yourself in with the keyless entry or a lockbox. From there the house is yours: cook, do laundry, park in your own driveway, sleep when your shifts say to sleep.
Thirteen weeks later, one of three things happens. The contract ends and you move out with straightforward notice. The contract extends and the stay extends with it, by the month. Or you pick up a second assignment across town and we move you to a home nearer the new campus if one is open. All three happen every year, and the paperwork for each is a short email, not a new application.
Two things are worth saying plainly. Our houses are modest, renovated single-family homes in working-class and established neighborhoods on the west, northwest and downtown edges of Orlando. They are not hotel suites and they are not new builds, with one exception, the Meet & Play House. What they give you instead is a whole house: your own kitchen, your own laundry, your own parking, no shared walls and no lobby. Every home page has a section called 'worth knowing before you book' that lists the plain parts, and we would rather you read it than be surprised.
The homes nurses book, and why
Eight of our thirteen homes are tagged for travel nurse and medical stays, and three of them do most of the work for clinicians at the downtown campuses.

The 25th Street House in Holden Heights is the one we recommend first to anyone working at Orlando Health. It is about 5 minutes from ORMC by road and about 8 from AdventHealth Orlando, a three-bedroom bungalow with two bathrooms, a full-size washer and dryer, keyless entry and a screened front porch. It is compact, and the bedrooms are small, which is exactly why one nurse or a pair of colleagues find it easy to run. It also carries the most reviews in the portfolio, 142 on Airbnb at a 4.83 rating.
The Katherine House in Lockhart is the pick for the AdventHealth system. It is about 10 minutes from AdventHealth Orlando, and it is the closest of our homes to AdventHealth Altamonte Springs and AdventHealth Winter Park, which matters if you float between campuses. Three bedrooms and one bathroom, a screened porch, a private concrete driveway, a kitchen stocked with cookware, dishes and a coffee maker, and a community park with a playground and courts a short walk away.
The Dollins House in Washington Shores is the four-bedroom option: about 7 minutes to ORMC and 10 to AdventHealth Orlando, on a shaded lot of mature oaks, with blackout curtains in the furnished bedrooms and a renovated bathroom with a tub and shower. Two or three clinicians on the same contract can split it and each have a room.
Beyond those three: the Amelia House in Parramore is about 9 minutes from both ORMC and AdventHealth Orlando and has a bedroom with its own attached bathroom. The Sunset Lake House is a small three-bedroom bungalow about 8 minutes from ORMC. The Wekiwa House in Hiawassee is the compact two-bedroom with two full bathrooms, a king bed, and the shortest run of our homes to Orlando Health Health Central in Ocoee and AdventHealth Apopka. For a group of clinicians who want to stay together, the Head Avenue House has six bedrooms and three bathrooms and the Piedmont House has four bedrooms, three bathrooms and a parking pad for several cars.
The drive to the hospitals
Orlando's hospitals sit in a rough triangle: Orlando Health's downtown campus with ORMC, Arnold Palmer and Winnie Palmer to the south of the city core, AdventHealth Orlando on Rollins Street to the north of it, and the community hospitals out along the edges, Health Central in Ocoee to the west, AdventHealth Altamonte Springs and Winter Park to the north, Dr. P. Phillips near the tourist corridor to the southwest, and the Lake Nona Medical City campuses to the southeast. Our homes cluster on the west, northwest and downtown-edge sides, which is why they are close to the two big downtown systems and farther from Lake Nona.
By road and without traffic, every one of our homes is between 5 and 18 minutes from ORMC and between 8 and 16 minutes from AdventHealth Orlando. Arnold Palmer and Winnie Palmer, which share the Orlando Health campus, are 4 to 19 minutes away. Health Central in Ocoee is 10 to 23 minutes. AdventHealth Altamonte is 12 to 24, and AdventHealth Winter Park is 6 to 18. The Lake Nona campuses, Nemours Children's and the Orlando VA, are the exception at 32 to 42 minutes; if you are assigned there, tell us and we will say so plainly rather than sell you a long commute.
The map below places each home in its true compass direction from AdventHealth Orlando, with the distance from the centre showing drive minutes rather than miles. Homes to the south and west of the campus reach it on SR-408 and I-4; WinterPark Home to the north comes down US-441 or the interstate.

Sleeping days and working nights
A hotel room is a poor place to sleep off a run of night shifts: housekeeping knocks, the ice machine hums, the hallway carries every conversation. A house on a residential street is quieter by default, and a few of ours are set up with day sleepers in mind. Game Day Getaway-Downtown Orlando has blackout curtains in the furnished bedrooms. Wekiwa Home has a king bed in a room with a wall-mounted TV and a second full bathroom, so two people on opposite schedules are not queuing for one shower at 6 a.m. Amelia’s Arena Retreat has a bedroom with its own attached bathroom for the same reason.

Everything a clinician needs to run a month is already in the house, and we confirm the exact list in writing when you book.
Exact inclusions vary a little by home and are confirmed in writing when you book.
The kitchen is the part people underrate. Three months of hospital cafeteria food and drive-through wears thin fast, and every home has a full kitchen with a stove, an oven, a full-size refrigerator, cookware and dishes. The washer and dryer are in the house, so scrubs go in the machine when you walk in the door, not into a bag for the laundromat. Wi-Fi is on from day one for charting, telehealth and the streaming that gets you through a stretch of nights. Parking is a private driveway, carport or parking pad at every home, which means no garage fee, no permit and no circling the block after a twelve-hour shift.
Stipends, agencies and the paperwork
Most travel clinicians take a tax-free housing stipend and arrange their own place, which is where a written agreement and clean receipts matter. We provide both. The monthly agreement names the home, the dates, the rate and the deposit, and the receipts are itemized by month so you can submit them to your agency for a stipend or a reimbursement without a follow-up email asking for a breakdown. If your agency prefers to be the party on the agreement, we can write it that way, with you as the occupant and the agency paying.
Staffing agencies that place several travelers in Orlando over a year can set up monthly invoicing. For established agencies we bill on net-30 terms under a signed agreement or a purchase order; the first booking is paid up front. We provide a W-9 and a certificate of insurance on request, since Libema carries a commercial landlord liability policy, and we will complete a standard vendor-onboarding form if your agency uses one.
The monthly rate, the deposit and the pet policy are confirmed in writing when you inquire; we do not publish rates on the site because they vary by home and season. What we can say is that the rate is for the whole house, not a room, and there are no nightly resort fees, marketplace service fees or parking charges on a monthly stay booked directly with us. Nightly and weekly stays run through each home's Airbnb and Vrbo listings, which is the right route for a short orientation visit before the contract starts.
Extensions are the other half of the paperwork, and they are simple. When a 13-week contract becomes 26, you tell us as soon as you know, and we extend the agreement month by month at the same terms. If the house is already committed to another guest for the following month, we say so early, so nobody is packing a car on the last night of a contract.
Living here between shifts
Where you buy groceries and get a coffee depends on which cluster your home sits in, and each of our four local area guides goes into detail. In brief: from Fruit Tree Home and Amelia’s Arena Retreat on the downtown edge, the compact Publix at The Paramount on Lake Eola (400 East Central Boulevard) is the downtown grocery, and there is a Publix on South Orange Avenue near Holden Heights. From the Pine Hills and Lockhart homes, the Walmart Supercenter on West Princeton Street is the closest big box, and Presidente Supermarket on North Pine Hills Road and the Caribbean Supercenter on West Colonial make that corner one of the best places in Orlando to cook from. From Wekiwa Home the Publix at Metro West Village on South Hiawassee Road is the everyday stop.

For a day off, Lake Eola Park downtown has a roughly one-mile sidewalk loop, the swan boats and a Sunday farmers market from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Lake Lorna Doone Park, just north of Camping World Stadium, reopened in 2021 with a walking loop, outdoor fitness stations and a splash pad, and it sits two minutes from City and Stadium Sanctuary Vibes. Wekiwa Springs State Park, about twenty minutes north of Wekiwa Home, is a clear 72-degree spring where you can swim, snorkel or rent a canoe. The Downtown Orlando YMCA on North Mills Avenue is a full-service gym with two pools, and the chain gyms line West Colonial Drive and Orange Blossom Trail on the west side.

Getting around is by car for most of the portfolio. The exceptions are the downtown-edge homes, where the two SunRail stations at LYNX Central and Church Street put you on the regional rail line and the free LYMMO bus circulates the core. SR-408 and I-4 are the spines of the commute, and SR-408 is tolled, so a SunPass or E-PASS transponder pays for itself over a three-month stay. Orlando's rush hours add to the longer routes, which is one reason the drive-time table on each home page is worth reading before you choose.
What guests said about the homes nurses book
The reviews below are real, taken verbatim from the homes' own Airbnb listings, with the reviewer's name and the month they stayed. Fruit Tree Home alone carries 142 of them at a 4.83 rating; every home page shows its own set, and the full wall is on our reviews page.
"I enjoyed our stay at Michelle's. Everything was clean and nicely decorated."
"Everything was great during our stay! Accommodated a large group of people and had no issues."
"It was a great place to stay. Beds were confortable and there was enough room for all of us"
"It was convenient and affordable. Great host!"
One line that comes up in different words across several homes is about location for work. Jim, who stayed at Amelia’s Arena Retreat in April 2026, wrote: 'Rented the place for my workers, really good location for work purposes!' That is the use case these houses are built around.
Before you book, a short checklist
The clinicians who have the easiest move-ins tend to sort these out before they inquire.
- Which campus, exactly. AdventHealth Orlando and AdventHealth Altamonte are different commutes from the same house, and so are ORMC and Health Central. Tell us the campus and the unit if you know it, and we will match the home to the drive.
- Your shift pattern. Nights or rotating shifts change which bedroom setup matters: blackout curtains, a second bathroom, a bedroom away from the living room.
- Who else is coming. A partner, a colleague on the same contract, kids, a pet. Several homes accept pets and the policy and any deposit are confirmed in writing before you commit.
- Your dates, with the extension in mind. If there is a real chance the contract extends, say so; we will try to keep the following month open.
- Who is paying. You on a stipend, or the agency directly. It changes whose name goes on the agreement and where the receipts go.
- A car. Outside the downtown edge, you will want one. Every home has private parking, so the only cost is the tolls on SR-408.
- The plain parts. Read the 'worth knowing before you book' section on the home page. Older houses, compact kitchens, one bathroom in some homes, and a neighborhood that is residential rather than polished. We describe them as they are.
Send us that list with your dates and we usually come back the same day with two or three homes, real photos, and the drive time from each to your campus.

Common questions.
Do you rent for 13 weeks?
Yes. Our homes are set up for monthly and multi-month stays, which covers the typical 13-week travel contract with room to extend.
Can I get a lease and receipts for my agency?
Yes. We provide a written agreement and payment receipts you can submit for a housing stipend or reimbursement.
How close are the homes to the hospitals?
Fruit Tree Home is about five minutes from ORMC; WinterPark Home about ten from AdventHealth Orlando. Every home page lists its drive time to each campus.
Is parking included?
Every home has its own private driveway, carport or parking pad. No paid garage or permit hunting.
Can two travel nurses on the same contract share a home?
Yes, and it is common. Game Day Getaway-Downtown Orlando has four bedrooms and two bathrooms, Amelia’s Arena Retreat has a bedroom with its own attached bathroom, and Wekiwa Home has two bedrooms and two full bathrooms. We write one agreement for the house and can split the receipts by person if each of you is submitting to an agency.
I work nights. Which homes are best for sleeping during the day?
Game Day Getaway-Downtown Orlando has blackout curtains in the furnished bedrooms. Wekiwa Home and Amelia’s Arena Retreat each have a bedroom paired with its own bathroom, which helps when two people keep different hours. All of the homes are on residential streets rather than main roads.
Can I visit the house before the contract starts?
Yes. If you are in Orlando for orientation or a hospital visit, book a night or two through the home's Airbnb or Vrbo listing, or ask us directly. If the home is occupied, we can arrange a look at a comparable one.
What happens if my contract is cancelled before I arrive?
Tell us as soon as you know. Cancellation and deposit terms are set out in the written agreement you sign before you pay, so there is nothing hidden; we would rather rebook the home than argue about it.
Are the homes close to public transit?
The downtown-edge homes are: Fruit Tree Home and Amelia’s Arena Retreat are a short drive from the LYNX Central and Church Street SunRail stations and the downtown LYMMO bus. Everywhere else in the portfolio you will want a car, and every home has private parking.
Can my agency be the one that signs and pays?
Yes. We write the agreement in the agency's name with you as the occupant, invoice monthly, and provide a W-9 and a certificate of insurance on request. Established agencies can be billed on net-30 terms under a signed agreement or purchase order after the first booking.
Tell us your dates and what brings you to Orlando.
We'll point you to the homes that fit, usually the same day. Nights, weeks or months.
