Washington Shores, Malibu Groves and the west-side neighborhoods around Camping World Stadium, minutes from downtown and Universal. Our West Orlando homes are furnished whole houses, available by the night, the week or the month.
Where these homes sit
West Orlando, as this site groups it, covers zip codes 32805 and 32811, which puts six of our thirteen furnished houses under one heading even though they sit across four different neighborhoods. The Piedmont House, the Dollins House and the Sunset Lake House are in Washington Shores, a long-established residential area southwest of downtown around Lake Mann and Sunset Lake. The Meet & Play House sits a little further west in Malibu Groves, near Kirkman Road. And the Amelia House and the 25th Street House sit on the downtown edge itself, in Parramore and Holden Heights, both inside the 32805 zip code they share with Game Day Getaway-Downtown Orlando and City and Stadium Sanctuary Vibes.
What ties the six together on the ground is Camping World Stadium and the SR-408 corridor. Every one of these homes is a short run from the stadium, from I-4, and from downtown, whichever neighborhood it happens to sit in.

The stadium hosts football bowl games and concerts through the year; Orlando City SC plays its home matches at Inter.co Stadium downtown instead. Most of the year, though, these are quiet residential streets: Amelia’s Arena Retreat and Fruit Tree Home sit on modest older blocks near the Orlando Health campus, Piedmont and Game Day Getaway-Downtown Orlando sit on shaded lots with mature trees, City and Stadium Sanctuary Vibes is tucked under a live oak, and Meet. Play. Stay., the newest build of the group, has a fenced yard and an attached garage. They are furnished single-family houses in working residential neighborhoods, and each home page lists its own honest notes on the block before you book.
Getting around the west side
By road and without traffic, the six West Orlando homes run 6 to 11 minutes from downtown Orlando. Fruit Tree Home is the quickest of the six at 6 minutes, Amelia’s Arena Retreat, Game Day Getaway-Downtown Orlando and City and Stadium Sanctuary Vibes each run 7, Meet. Play. Stay. runs 9, and Piedmont runs 11. SR-408, the East-West Expressway, is the road that makes this work: it runs along the edge of Washington Shores and Malibu Groves and drops you into the downtown core in a handful of minutes, with I-4 crossing it for the run north or south.

Universal Orlando is the other draw on this side of the city, and it works out to a similarly short run: 12 minutes from Meet. Play. Stay. in Malibu Groves, 13 from both Fruit Tree Home and Piedmont, 15 from City and Stadium Sanctuary Vibes, and 16 from Amelia’s Arena Retreat and Game Day Getaway-Downtown Orlando. Kirkman Road is the direct route from Malibu Groves, and SR-408 covers the rest of the cluster.
For the two big downtown hospital campuses, AdventHealth Orlando runs 8 to 14 minutes across the six homes and Orlando Health / ORMC runs 5 to 11, with Orlando International Airport at 26 to 33 minutes. The next two sections break those numbers down by destination.
Near the stadium and the arena district
Camping World Stadium sits at the center of this cluster, and the drive times show it: about 2 minutes from City and Stadium Sanctuary Vibes, 3 from Game Day Getaway-Downtown Orlando, 4 from Amelia’s Arena Retreat, 6 from both Fruit Tree Home and Meet. Play. Stay., and 7 from Piedmont. The Kia Center and Inter.co Stadium downtown add a second pair of venues within a similarly short drive, 5 to 12 minutes depending on the home.

On an event weekend, a football bowl game, an Orlando City match, or a concert, the roads around the stadium get busy for an hour or two before and after, and street parking in the neighborhood tightens up. Guests who plan to walk the last stretch or take a short rideshare instead of driving straight to the gate usually have the easier night. The rest of the year, the stadium district is a fast way into downtown, and Piedmont backs that up with its own on-site entertainment, a game corner with a foosball table and arcade basketball, for a night nobody wants to drive anywhere at all.
The hospitals and the airport
Five of these six homes, Amelia’s Arena Retreat, Game Day Getaway-Downtown Orlando, Fruit Tree Home, Piedmont and City and Stadium Sanctuary Vibes, are tagged on our site for travel nurse and medical stays, and the drive times explain why. Orlando Health's downtown campus, ORMC, runs 5 minutes from Fruit Tree Home, 7 from Game Day Getaway-Downtown Orlando, 8 from City and Stadium Sanctuary Vibes, 9 from Amelia’s Arena Retreat, 10 from Meet. Play. Stay., and 11 from Piedmont. AdventHealth Orlando on Rollins Street runs a little longer, 8 to 14 minutes across the same six homes, and Arnold Palmer and Winnie Palmer, on the same downtown campus, run from 4 minutes at Fruit Tree Home to 12 at Piedmont.

Typical road-routing times without traffic; Orlando rush hours add to the longer routes.
Orlando International Airport is the longer leg from this side of town: 26 minutes from Fruit Tree Home, 29 from Game Day Getaway-Downtown Orlando and City and Stadium Sanctuary Vibes, 30 from Amelia’s Arena Retreat, 31 from Meet. Play. Stay., and 33 from Piedmont. Budget the extra time for an early flight.
Groceries, food and coffee
None of these six homes sits inside a shopping strip, so the nearest full grocery store is a short drive rather than a walk. From Piedmont, Game Day Getaway-Downtown Orlando and City and Stadium Sanctuary Vibes in Washington Shores, the closest options are the Walmart Supercenter on West Princeton Street and Presidente Supermarket on Pine Hills Road to the northwest, or the compact Publix at The Paramount on Lake Eola a few minutes east downtown, which is also the closest grocery run for Amelia’s Arena Retreat. From Meet. Play. Stay. in Malibu Groves, the newer Publix at Metro West Village on South Hiawassee Road is the everyday stop.

For dinner, the signature meal on the Washington Shores side of town is soul food: Nikki's Place on South Orange Blossom Trail has served it since 1999, less than a mile from the stadium. Downtown and Church Street, seven minutes east of Game Day Getaway-Downtown Orlando and City and Stadium Sanctuary Vibes and eleven minutes from Piedmont, open up a wider range of restaurants and bars. From Meet. Play. Stay., the Hiawassee Road corridor through MetroWest is the everyday choice: Tacos Don Andres for birria, Habibi Lebanese Grill for shawarma, a sushi spot, and Teak Neighborhood Grill off Kirkman Road for a weekend brunch. For coffee, Mecatos Bakery & Cafe on South Hiawassee does Colombian coffee and is the closest sit-down cafe to Meet. Play. Stay.; everywhere else leans on the Caribbean bakeries in Pine Hills or the drive-through chains along Colonial.
Parks, gyms and the outdoors
Lake Lorna Doone Park, just north of Camping World Stadium, is the standout green space on this side of the city. It reopened in 2021 after an eight-million-dollar rebuild with a walking loop, outdoor fitness stations, a splash pad, an inclusive playground, basketball courts, a community garden and a lakeside pavilion, and from City and Stadium Sanctuary Vibes, two minutes from the stadium, it is close enough to use daily. Washington Shores Park on Columbia Street is a smaller neighborhood green space nearby, and Barnett Park, with its own splash pad and trails, is a short drive northwest. Guests at Amelia’s Arena Retreat, Fruit Tree Home, Game Day Getaway-Downtown Orlando and City and Stadium Sanctuary Vibes are all about eight minutes from Lake Eola Park downtown, with its mile-long sidewalk loop and Sunday farmers market; Meet. Play. Stay. runs eleven minutes and Piedmont twelve.

Guests at Meet. Play. Stay. have their own yard to fall back on, plus the pool table, dart board and second game table in the indoor game room, for a day that does not require driving anywhere. For a gym, the chain options, Planet Fitness, EOS and LA Fitness, line West Colonial Drive and Orange Blossom Trail, and the Downtown Orlando YMCA on North Mills Avenue, a full family center with two pools, is a short drive east of Amelia’s Arena Retreat and Fruit Tree Home. Pharmacies sit along the same two corridors, Walmart, CVS and Walgreens, so a prescription run rarely takes more than a few minutes from any of the six homes.
Who books these homes
Look at the best-for tags across these six homes and a pattern shows up fast. Five of them, Amelia’s Arena Retreat, Piedmont, Game Day Getaway-Downtown Orlando, Fruit Tree Home and City and Stadium Sanctuary Vibes, are tagged for travel nurse and medical stays, which tracks with how short the drive is to both downtown hospital campuses. Piedmont and Game Day Getaway-Downtown Orlando are also tagged for groups and reunions, since between them they sleep up to fourteen and thirteen people and both sit within a fifteen-minute drive of Camping World Stadium. Piedmont and Meet. Play. Stay. both carry a further tag for sports teams, the combination our game-day and event guide is built around.
Meet. Play. Stay. is tagged for remote workers and corporate stays, with a desk built into two of its bedrooms, and for group and family vacations on top of that, since a pool table and a fenced yard work for either. City and Stadium Sanctuary Vibes carries tags for event and game-day stays and for work crews alongside travel nurses and family trips, while Fruit Tree Home adds a tag for patients' families and for insurance and displacement stays, a modest three-bedroom that suits a household that needs a plain, complete house rather than a hotel room while a home is repaired or a family member is admitted nearby.
The homes here, room by room
The six homes range from a three-bedroom bungalow with one bathroom to a four-bedroom house that sleeps fourteen, so the fit depends on how many people are coming and what you want the house to do.
Washington Shores and Malibu Groves
The Piedmont House is the biggest of the four: four bedrooms, three bathrooms, and room for up to fourteen people, with a concrete parking pad out front that fits several vehicles and a game corner inside with a foosball table and arcade basketball. The Dollins House has the same four bedrooms and two bathrooms, sleeps up to thirteen, and sits on a shaded lot of mature oaks with blackout curtains, useful for sleeping through the day after a night shift. The Sunset Lake House is the smallest of the four, three bedrooms and one bathroom under a live oak with a carport, sleeping up to eight. The Meet & Play House, over in Malibu Groves, is the newest build in the portfolio: three bedrooms, two bathrooms, desks in two of the bedrooms, an attached garage, a fireplace TV wall, and a game room with a pool table and a dart board, sleeping up to nine.
The downtown edge
The Amelia House in Parramore has four bedrooms and two bathrooms, sleeps up to eight, and includes one bedroom with its own attached bathroom, plus a fenced backyard with mature shade trees. The 25th Street House in Holden Heights is a three-bedroom, two-bathroom bungalow that sleeps up to ten, with full-size laundry on site, keyless entry, and fruit trees in the yard.

Guests book these six homes for a mix of reasons, and the reviews reflect it. Teagan, who stayed at Piedmont in March 2026, wrote: 'Very nice place. Close to downtown, would stay again.' Isiah, who stayed at Game Day Getaway-Downtown Orlando in May 2026 for an event at Camping World Stadium, wrote: 'We stayed at Michelle’s place for an event at the camping world stadium. This is a perfect spot location wise for it. It’s about a 15 minute walk and a 2 minute drive to the stadium. It has a private feel to it and is very solid for big groups.' And Cristina, who spent thirty days at Meet. Play. Stay. in July 2026, wrote: 'Absolute great stay. The place was clean. I had everything I needed to make it a long-term stay. I was in this Airbnb for 30 days.'
Practical notes for a stay on this side of town
SR-408, the East-West Expressway, is tolled by transponder or license plate, and it is the road you will use most from any of these six homes, so a SunPass or E-PASS pays for itself over a longer stay. Orlando's rush hours add time to the longer routes on this list, the drives to AdventHealth Altamonte or the airport more than the short run to downtown or the stadium.
Parking is private at every one of the six homes: a driveway at Amelia’s Arena Retreat, Game Day Getaway-Downtown Orlando and Fruit Tree Home, a parking pad big enough for several vehicles at Piedmont, a carport at City and Stadium Sanctuary Vibes, and an attached garage at Meet. Play. Stay.. On a stadium event night, expect the streets right around Camping World Stadium to fill up before kickoff, which is when that private parking is worth the most.
Amelia’s Arena Retreat and Fruit Tree Home sit close enough to downtown that the LYNX Central and Church Street SunRail stations, and the free LYMMO bus that circulates the downtown core, are within reach if you would rather leave the car at the house for a day. From Piedmont, Game Day Getaway-Downtown Orlando, City and Stadium Sanctuary Vibes and Meet. Play. Stay., you will want a car for daily life, though every trip on this list runs well under fifteen minutes.
