06The house room by room

Entertainment Home opens through an attached one-car garage and a paver front walk, a plain, practical entry that also gives a work crew somewhere to park a vehicle out of the weather.

Inside, the living room is built around a white leather sectional facing a fireplace TV wall: an electric fireplace set into a media wall with the television mounted above it. Wood-look plank floors and a ceiling fan run through the main living space, in the same gray-and-white palette as the rest of the house, and it's the room that gave the house its old Airbnb listing name, Entertainment Home.

The kitchen opens onto that living room, with an island that has its own seating for a coffee before the rest of the house is up. Past the island, a dining table for six is set up for cooked meals or a card game after dinner. It's a practical kitchen, built for daily cooking over a stay that runs weeks or months, not a showpiece for a single dinner party.

Three bedrooms and a small bonus room sleep up to eleven between them. The bonus room adds sleeping space, not a fourth bedroom, so it's worth planning the room assignments with that in mind before a group arrives. One bedroom is set up with two twin beds, a fit for kids on a family trip or two colleagues sharing a room on a work stay, and another carries a wall-mounted TV over the dresser for anyone who wants to wind down alone. Two bathrooms serve the house, with fresh towels laid out at turnover and a plain vanity in each.

The games corner is the other half of the house's character: a foosball table and a table-tennis setup sit ready in the living area for the evenings when everyone is home and the parks are closed for the day. A washer and dryer keep laundry moving without a trip out, and ceiling fans run through every room to take the edge off a Florida summer.

07Who this house suits

A house that sleeps up to eleven across three bedrooms and a bonus room, with a fireplace lounge and a foosball table, is built for a group that wants everyone under one roof instead of split across separate hotel rooms. A reunion or a group of friends and a family with a few kids on a park trip both fit the same pattern here: shared common space, one kitchen, and a games corner that keeps kids and adults occupied without a screen in front of them all night.

The attached one-car garage and the plain, durable furnishings also suit a work crew that needs one address and one kitchen for a job running several weeks, and a family working through an insurance displacement while their own home is repaired, who need real room to spread out rather than a single hotel room. Both book by the month on a written agreement, with the rate and deposit confirmed in writing before the first night, and both can extend month by month if the job or the repair runs long.

What it isn't built for is a quiet solo stay or a couple wanting something compact: three bedrooms and a bonus room is a lot of house for one or two people, and the games corner and the open living plan are made to be shared. For that kind of stay, a smaller Libema home is usually the better fit, and we're glad to point you to one when you inquire about dates.

08Around the house in Pine Hills

Entertainment Home sits in Pine Hills, a large residential community in northwest Orlando off Silver Star Road and Pine Hills Road, with the SR-408 East-West Expressway running along its southern edge. The Central Florida Fairgrounds and the Orlando Amphitheater are about 4 minutes away, hosting the Central Florida Fair each spring and concerts through the year. Three other Libema homes share Pine Hills itself, and the wider cluster reaching into Rosemont and Lockhart holds five homes in total, all covered in our Pine Hills and Northwest Orlando area guide.

For groceries, Presidente Supermarket at 2722 North Pine Hills Road anchors the corner of Pine Hills Road and Silver Star Road with a cafeteria and juice counter inside, and Caribbean Supercenter and Enson Market sit a few blocks south on West Colonial Drive for Caribbean and Asian groceries. The Walmart Supercenter on West Princeton Street covers a full American shop, and the closest Publix is a short drive south to Metro West Village or west on Colonial Drive toward Ocoee.

For a meal out, Island Jam Caribbean Cuisine on North Pine Hills Road is known for griot and fried plantains, and Golden Krust, at West Colonial and North Kirkman, is the reliable stop for a Jamaican beef patty or jerk chicken. Between those two and the smaller Caribbean, Latin and West African spots along the same stretch, a month of dinners here does not need to repeat itself. Pharmacies sit along Silver Star Road and Pine Hills Road, at the Walmart, CVS and Walgreens, and a 24-hour Planet Fitness on Silver Star Road toward Ocoee covers a gym membership for the length of a stay.

Barnett Park, a 159-acre Orange County park on West Colonial Drive, has a free splash pad that runs in timed sessions through the warm months, along with playgrounds, walking trails, disc golf, basketball and volleyball courts and a recreation center with its own fitness room. The Silver Star Recreation Center adds a second public option nearby, with its own workout room and community programs, and Rene's Dynamic Sports Center on Silver Star Road covers boxing and martial arts for anyone who wants a different kind of workout during a longer stay. For a longer trip, Wekiwa Springs State Park, about 24 minutes north, is a spring-fed park for swimming and paddling, with trails through the surrounding woods and a steady water temperature year-round.

Pine Hills itself is light on sit-down cafes; the Caribbean bakeries along West Colonial pour strong coffee alongside their patties, which is the local habit. For a proper laptop-and-latte stop, Mecatos Bakery and Cafe on South Hiawassee Road to the south does Colombian coffee and pastries, and the row of independent cafes on Edgewater Drive in College Park is a short drive east.

09Getting to work, the hospitals and the parks

By road without traffic, downtown Orlando is about 11 minutes from Entertainment Home, and the MetroWest office cluster and Valencia College's west campus are each about 8 minutes. AdventHealth Orlando is about 13 minutes, Orlando Health / ORMC about 12, Arnold Palmer and Winnie Palmer about 13, and Orlando Health Health Central in Ocoee, the closest hospital of the group, is about 10. Nemours Children's Hospital in Lake Nona is about 36 minutes, a straight run to the far side of the metro.

Universal Orlando is about 14 minutes and Epic Universe about 17; Walt Disney World runs about 39 minutes and Orlando International Airport about 33. Camping World Stadium is about 8 minutes and the Kia Center about 11, close enough for a game night without building the evening around traffic. Lake Eola Park downtown is about 12 minutes, Dr. Phillips Center about 11, ICON Park about 18, Winter Park's Park Avenue about 16, and SeaWorld about 27. The Orange County Convention Center is about 21 minutes, which matters for a stay tied to a trade show, and the Mall at Millenia is about 15 for a shopping day between everything else.

The chart above breaks out the drive to every destination we track from this house. All of it is typical road-routing time without traffic, and Orlando's rush hours add to the longer routes on I-4 and SR-408, the two roads most trips from Pine Hills end up using.

10On the road from Pine Hills

Pine Hills is a drive-everywhere part of the city. SR-408 is the fastest way toward downtown, the hospitals and Universal, and Silver Star Road, Pine Hills Road, Kirkman Road and Hiawassee Road handle the local trips to the grocery stores and restaurants along West Colonial. SR-408 is a toll road, collected by transponder or by plate reader, and a SunPass or E-PASS transponder is worth setting up for a stay of a month or more, since plate tolling costs more per trip over that many drives.

LYNX buses run the main roads through Pine Hills, but there is no SunRail station or rail transit this far northwest, so a car covers the length of a stay here. The attached one-car garage keeps one vehicle off the street, which helps on a crew or reunion stay when more than one car needs somewhere to sit close to the house for a few weeks.

11Work and campuses nearby

A handful of Central Florida employers sit within a short drive of Entertainment Home. The Hilton Grand Vacations MetroWest offices are about 8 minutes away, the same drive as Valencia College's west campus. Westgate Resorts is about 11 minutes, and Orange County Public Schools' headquarters is about 10. Lockheed Martin's Sand Lake Road site and the Maitland offices used by ADP are each about 17 minutes, and the Orange County administration offices downtown are about 11.

This isn't a downtown address, and it isn't marketed as one. For a placement or a project based at one of these campuses, one of our other Pine Hills or west-side homes might sit closer to that specific office; ask when you inquire and we'll point you to whichever of our homes sits closest to that particular office for the dates you need.

12A typical stay here

A typical day starts at the kitchen island with coffee before anyone heads out: a work shift, a grocery run, or a morning at the fairgrounds four minutes away. Evenings tend to circle back to the living room, with the fireplace TV wall on, the sectional full, and the foosball table or the table-tennis setup pulling in whoever wants a game before bed. A weekly grocery run covers Presidente Supermarket or the Walmart Supercenter, and dinner some nights comes from Island Jam or Golden Krust instead of the kitchen.

Laundry runs in the house between activities, so there's no trip to a laundromat during a longer stay. Groups who fill the bonus room along with the three bedrooms get the full eleven-person capacity; a smaller group or a single family often leaves it as extra space for luggage or a play area instead. On a spring weekend, the Central Florida Fair or a concert at the Orlando Amphitheater is a short drive from the house, and Barnett Park's splash pad is the easy plan on a hot afternoon. For a stay that runs long, extensions are booked month by month, so a repair job or a work rotation that stretches past its first month isn't a problem, as long as we hear about it with some notice.

14Booking Entertainment Home

Because Entertainment Home publishes its neighborhood and zip rather than a street address, the exact address is shared once a booking is confirmed. A stay of a month or longer is booked directly with us on a written agreement naming the home, the dates, the rate and the deposit, with itemized monthly receipts; nightly and weekly stays run through the home's Airbnb and Vrbo listings or a direct inquiry to us. The rate, deposit and pet policy are confirmed in writing when you inquire; we don't publish prices on the site, and inquiries are answered the same day.

Companies, agencies and insurers booking on behalf of a crew or a displaced family can have the agreement written in the organization's name, with a monthly invoice, a W-9 and a certificate of insurance on request; net-30 terms apply to an established company, agency or insurer on a signed agreement or purchase order. A family or a reunion group pays on the normal booking terms, with the rate and deposit confirmed in writing and an itemized receipt for the stay.
