Furnished housing near AdventHealth Altamonte Springs.
AdventHealth Altamonte Springs serves the northern suburbs just up I-4, convenient to our northwest-Orlando homes.
A whole furnished house near your assignment beats a hotel room or a shared listing: your own kitchen, laundry, private parking, and a quiet place to rest between shifts, at a monthly rate that works with a housing stipend. Families staying near a patient get the same house with room for relatives.
The campus
AdventHealth Altamonte Springs sits north of Orlando along I-4, in the suburb that gives the hospital its name. It is one of several AdventHealth campuses across Central Florida; the system also runs AdventHealth Orlando, the flagship downtown campus, and AdventHealth Winter Park on Lee Road, so a clinician or a family member sometimes moves between more than one of the three over the course of an assignment or an admission. This page covers the Altamonte Springs campus specifically, the northern of the three, and the one our Katherine House in Lockhart sits closest to, about 12 minutes by road.
We are a housing company, not a hospital service, and this page is not affiliated with AdventHealth. What years of booking guests here have shown us is who ends up in these homes: travel nurses and allied-health staff working a contract at the Altamonte campus, staff on rotation between the system's sites, and family members who need to be close by for weeks while someone they love is admitted. Both kinds of stay want the same thing from a house, a short predictable drive, a real kitchen, a washer and dryer, and a landlord who answers the phone.
WinterPark Home is our anchor for this campus. It sits in Lockhart, which our own neighborhood guide describes as the closest of our areas to AdventHealth Altamonte Springs and to AdventHealth Winter Park, with I-4 a short hop away in both directions. Fruit Tree Home sits south of downtown in Holden Heights and reaches the Altamonte campus by the same interstate from a little further down the road. Downtown & Stadium Cozy Retreat sits northwest in Pine Hills, the same general direction as Lockhart, and gets there by SR-408 to I-4 as well.

The homes closest to AdventHealth Altamonte
WinterPark Home is about 12 minutes from the campus by road, the closest of our homes to this hospital. Fruit Tree Home and Downtown & Stadium Cozy Retreat are both about 18 minutes away, the same figure as Wekiwa Home on the opposite side of the city, which shows how much these numbers depend on the road you catch rather than straight-line distance.

The Katherine House in Lockhart is a three-bedroom, one-bathroom block home with a screened porch, a keypad lock on the front door and a private concrete driveway. It sleeps eight and suits a solo clinician, a couple, or a small family who want first pick of the drive up I-4. The 25th Street House in Holden Heights is a three-bedroom, two-bathroom bungalow with full-size laundry on site and keyless entry; it sleeps ten and carries 142 Airbnb reviews at a 4.83 rating, the most of any home we have. The Londonderry House in Pine Hills has a king bedroom, a queen bedroom and a bunk room with two sets of bunk beds, sleeping up to eight; it has one full bathroom and one half bath, which we say plainly on its own page since it matters for a bigger group.
Behind these figures, Amelia’s Arena Retreat comes in around 19 minutes, Game Day Getaway-Downtown Orlando and City and Stadium Sanctuary Vibes about 20, the Head Avenue, Meet & Play, Entertainment and Cozy houses about 22, and Piedmont about 24 minutes. None of that is a long drive by Orlando standards. It marks the difference between a home a few minutes from downtown and one on the west side of the metro.
Where the homes sit around the campus
The map places each home in its true compass direction from AdventHealth Altamonte Springs, with distance from the centre standing in for drive time rather than miles. WinterPark Home and Downtown & Stadium Cozy Retreat sit in Northwest Orlando, in Lockhart and Pine Hills, alongside the Head Avenue, Entertainment and Cozy houses in the same general direction. Fruit Tree Home sits south of downtown in Holden Heights, on the opposite side of the metro from the campus. Amelia’s Arena Retreat is in Downtown Orlando, about 19 minutes out. The Piedmont, Dollins, Meet & Play and Sunset Lake houses are in West Orlando, farther still from this particular hospital at 20 to 24 minutes. Wekiwa Home is also in West Orlando but sits closer than that group, matching Fruit Tree Home and Downtown & Stadium Cozy Retreat at 18 minutes despite being on the opposite side of the metro.

That spread matters when a stay touches more than one campus. A clinician splitting shifts between AdventHealth Altamonte and AdventHealth Orlando downtown does well from Lockhart or Rosemont, where both drives stay reasonable. Someone working only the Altamonte campus can be just as comfortable in Holden Heights or Pine Hills, about eighteen minutes out, if the rest of their stay points toward downtown instead. Tell us your schedule and we will point you to the home that keeps the total driving down, not just the drive to one hospital.
The shift commute
The drive times here are typical road-routing times without traffic, and Orlando's rush hours add the most to the longer routes. From Lockhart and Rosemont, I-4 runs both directions off the same stretch of road: north gets you to AdventHealth Altamonte, and south gets you into downtown Orlando or to AdventHealth Orlando. A day shift starting at 7 a.m. and a night shift starting at 7 p.m. both tend to work with the grain of that commute rather than against it, since the heaviest traffic on I-4 near the city builds toward downtown in the morning and away from it in the evening.
From Pine Hills and Holden Heights, Downtown & Stadium Cozy Retreat and Fruit Tree Home reach the same interstate by way of SR-408 or local streets. SR-408 is a toll road, collected by transponder or by plate. Over a run of shifts across a multi-week contract, a SunPass or E-PASS is worth setting up in your first week, since plate tolling costs more per trip. I-4 itself carries no toll on the way north to Altamonte Springs.
Parking at the house is never the issue. Every home in this group has private off-street parking, so a night-shift clinician coming home at 7 a.m. pulls straight in rather than circling for street parking, and a family with two vehicles is not competing for space with each other or with neighbors. What happens once you reach the hospital, whether that means a staff lot or a garage, is the hospital's own arrangement; check with your unit or your agency before your first shift.
For travel clinicians
Billing that fits an assignment
A monthly agreement matched to your contract dates is the base of what we offer. You get a written agreement naming the home, the dates, the rate and the deposit, plus itemized monthly receipts an agency can process for a housing stipend or a reimbursement. If your staffing agency wants to be the party on the agreement instead of you personally, we write it that way, and we can provide a W-9 and a certificate of insurance on request. Net-30 terms are available to established agencies and companies on a signed agreement; the first booking is paid up front. Extensions run month by month at the same terms, so if a thirteen-week assignment turns into twenty-six, tell us as soon as you know and we will hold the following month where we can.
Set up for the work
WinterPark Home, Fruit Tree Home and Downtown & Stadium Cozy Retreat all sit close to this campus, the last two tied with Wekiwa Home across town at 18 minutes, and each is already set up for exactly this kind of stay. The Katherine House has a keypad lock on the front door, useful if you are coming and going at odd hours, and a screened porch for a quiet coffee before or after a shift. The 25th Street House has full-size laundry on site, so scrubs go straight from the hamper to the wash, plus keyless entry of its own. The Londonderry House has three separate bedrooms, which works well if two or three colleagues are sharing a contract and want their own doors to close. All three come with a stocked kitchen, Wi-Fi from day one, and beds made up before you arrive.

Our travel nurse and medical housing page and our guide to housing for a 13-week assignment go further into the stipend paperwork and the questions worth asking before you book, whether your contract is here at AdventHealth Altamonte or at one of the system's other Central Florida campuses.
For families of a patient
A hospital stay that runs into weeks changes what a family needs from a place to stay. A hotel room near the hospital gets expensive and small fast; a house nearby means relatives can rotate through without paying for a second room, the person doing the overnight vigil has somewhere quiet to sleep during the day, and a child who has to be here gets a bedroom and a yard instead of a hotel room.
The Katherine House is about 12 minutes from the campus and sleeps eight; it sits a short walk from a community park with a playground and courts, which matters more than it sounds when a family is trying to get kids out of the house for an hour. The 25th Street House, about 18 minutes away, sleeps ten across three bedrooms and two bathrooms, giving a bigger family, or one joined by grandparents, room to spread out. The Londonderry House, also about 18 minutes out, has a bunk room built for children and sleeps up to eight, though it runs one full bathroom and one half bath for the whole house, worth knowing before a big group books it.
All three are booked by the month on the same written agreement, with the rate and deposit confirmed in writing, and extend month by month if a discharge date moves, which it often does. For a shorter admission with a known date, nightly and weekly stays run through each home's Airbnb and Vrbo listings instead. We are careful with the words here because the situation is hard enough: we are a housing provider, not a hospital service, and we are not affiliated with AdventHealth. What we can do is answer the same day and keep the terms flexible for a timeline nobody controls. Our page on housing for patients' families and our guide on staying near the hospital when someone you love is admitted go further.
What's in the house
Every home comes furnished and ready from the first night: furniture, made-up beds and linens, a stocked kitchen with cookware and dishes, a washer and dryer, Wi-Fi and private parking. Exact inclusions are confirmed in writing when you book, since they vary a little from house to house.
Exact inclusions vary a little by home and are confirmed in writing when you book.
Laundry is in every one of these three homes, though Fruit Tree Home is the one with full-size capacity; WinterPark Home and Downtown & Stadium Cozy Retreat each have a smaller washer and dryer pair. Ceiling fans run through all three, and Downtown & Stadium Cozy Retreat adds blackout curtains in its bedrooms, worth knowing if you are sleeping during the day between night shifts.
None of these homes has a pool; they are residential houses, not a resort. Bed and bath counts are the counts published on each home's own listing, and a sofa is never counted as a bed. WinterPark Home publishes its street address on the site, along with the Amelia, Head Avenue, Piedmont, Dollins and 25th Street houses. Downtown & Stadium Cozy Retreat is one of the other six, where we publish the neighborhood and zip code and share the exact address at booking.
Living near the homes
Lockhart and Rosemont, where WinterPark Home sits, are covered along with Pine Hills in our Pine Hills & Northwest Orlando area guide. For groceries, Presidente Supermarket on North Pine Hills Road and the Caribbean Supercenter and Enson Market on West Colonial Drive cover a varied weekly shop, and the Walmart Supercenter on West Princeton Street is the closest big-box option. For a sit-down meal, Island Jam Caribbean Cuisine on North Pine Hills Road and Golden Krust at West Colonial and North Kirkman are the local standbys for Haitian and Jamaican cooking.
Barnett Park on West Colonial Drive is the big outdoor option in this cluster: a free splash pad, playgrounds, walking trails, disc golf, and basketball and volleyball courts. If a day off calls for a workout instead, there is a 24-hour Planet Fitness on Silver Star Road, and the county recreation centers at Barnett Park and on Silver Star Road both have fitness rooms open to drop in.
Holden Heights, where Fruit Tree Home sits, and Pine Hills, home to Downtown & Stadium Cozy Retreat, are each about eighteen minutes from the campus, though daily life looks different in each. Holden Heights is close-in, covered in our downtown and close-in area guide, with the Publix at The Paramount on Lake Eola and the wider run of downtown restaurants a short drive away. Pine Hills is bigger and more spread out, with room to park more than one vehicle and the same international grocery and Caribbean food options as Lockhart.
A car is the practical way to get around all three areas. LYNX buses run the main roads in Pine Hills and Lockhart, but there is no rail transit this far north or west. Downtown, closest to Fruit Tree Home, is the one part of the metro with LYNX Central and two SunRail stations nearby.

Common questions.
How far are the homes from AdventHealth Altamonte Springs?
Between 12 and 24 minutes by road, depending on the home. The table on this page lists every home, and each home page has its own drive-time table.
Do you rent for a 13-week assignment?
Yes. Our homes are set up for monthly and multi-month stays, which covers a standard travel contract with room to extend.
Can I get a lease and receipts for my stipend?
Yes. We provide a written agreement and payment receipts you can submit to your agency for a housing stipend or reimbursement.
Can family of a patient stay with you?
Yes. Families keeping vigil for a long treatment often want a house near the campus with a kitchen and room for relatives. See our page on patient and family stays.
Can two travel clinicians share one of these homes near AdventHealth Altamonte Springs?
Yes. Downtown & Stadium Cozy Retreat has three separate bedrooms, useful if colleagues on different shifts each want a door that closes. WinterPark Home has three bedrooms as well, plus a screened porch for downtime between shifts. Tell us how many people are on the contract and we will point you to the home with the right room mix for the group.
Are pets allowed at the homes closest to AdventHealth Altamonte Springs?
Several of our homes accept pets, but the policy and any deposit are confirmed in writing before you commit, and it varies by house. Ask us about WinterPark Home, Fruit Tree Home or Downtown & Stadium Cozy Retreat specifically when you inquire, and we will tell you what applies before you book.
Can Libema bill my staffing agency directly for a contract at AdventHealth Altamonte Springs?
Yes. We can write the monthly agreement to the agency's name instead of yours, invoice the agency directly, and provide a W-9 and a certificate of insurance on request. Established agencies can use net-30 terms on a signed agreement; the first booking is paid up front. Ask your agency's housing coordinator to reach out to us directly if that is easier.
What is the drive from WinterPark Home to AdventHealth Orlando instead of Altamonte?
About 10 minutes. WinterPark Home sits in Lockhart, close to I-4 in both directions, so it works for a clinician who splits time between AdventHealth Altamonte Springs and the system's downtown flagship campus, or who moves between the two over the course of an assignment.
How far is Downtown & Stadium Cozy Retreat from AdventHealth Altamonte Springs, and how many can it sleep?
About 18 minutes by road. Downtown & Stadium Cozy Retreat has a king bedroom, a queen bedroom and a bunk room with two sets of bunk beds, sleeping up to eight. It has one full bathroom and one half bath for the whole house, worth knowing before a bigger family or crew books it.
Is there a toll on the way to AdventHealth Altamonte Springs, and where do I park at the house?
From Pine Hills and Holden Heights, SR-408 is a toll road, collected by transponder or by plate; a SunPass or E-PASS pays off over a multi-week contract. From Lockhart, I-4 alone gets you there and it carries no toll. At every home, parking is off the street, so you are never hunting for street space after a shift.
Tell us your dates and what brings you to Orlando.
We'll point you to the homes that fit, usually the same day. Nights, weeks or months.
