Furnished housing near AdventHealth Winter Park.

6 to 18 min from our homesClosest: WinterPark Home, 6 min

AdventHealth Winter Park sits on Lee Road just north of the city, a short run from our Lockhart and Rosemont homes.

A whole furnished house near your assignment beats a hotel room or a shared listing: your own kitchen, laundry, private parking, and a quiet place to rest between shifts, at a monthly rate that works with a housing stipend. Families staying near a patient get the same house with room for relatives.

The campus

AdventHealth Winter Park sits on Lee Road just north of the city, a short run from our Lockhart and Rosemont homes. It is one of the AdventHealth system's Central Florida campuses, the same system behind AdventHealth Orlando and AdventHealth Altamonte Springs, so a clinician whose rotation later moves between campuses does not need to leave this part of the metro to follow the work.

We are an independent housing company. Libema Properties is not part of AdventHealth, and this page is not endorsed by the hospital; it exists so people with business at that Lee Road campus, a clinician on a contract, a resident on rotation, a coordinator lining up housing before someone arrives, can find a furnished house nearby instead of a hotel room booked by the week.

Two kinds of stay tend to land on this page. A multi-month clinical or project assignment needs a home base with a kitchen, a washer and dryer, and a written agreement your agency or coordinator can process. A family keeping vigil for someone in treatment needs somewhere to cook, sleep in shifts, and host relatives who come and go without renting a second hotel room every time someone visits. Across our thirteen homes, the drive to AdventHealth Winter Park runs from 6 to 18 minutes by road without traffic, and the two neighborhoods on the same side of the metro as the campus, Lockhart and Rosemont, are where the closest homes sit. If an AdventHealth recruiter or a relocation coordinator sent you looking for housing, this is the cluster of homes they meant.

The homes closest to AdventHealth Winter Park

WinterPark Home is about 6 minutes from AdventHealth Winter Park by road, closer than any of our other homes to this campus. Fruit Tree Home is next at about 12 minutes, and Amelia’s Arena Retreat follows at about 14. All three publish a street address on the site, so you know exactly where you would be staying before you book, and all three have a fenced yard, worth knowing if a pet is part of your plans; the policy itself is confirmed home by home when you inquire.

In Lockhart, the Katherine House is a three-bedroom, one-bathroom home with a screened porch, a private driveway, and a keypad lock on the front door in place of a physical key, and it has picked up a 4.79 rating across 59 Airbnb reviews. A community park with a playground and courts sits a short walk away, which matters if a stay runs into weeks with children along.

Holden Heights holds the 25th Street House, about 12 minutes from the campus: a three-bedroom bungalow with two bathrooms, keyless entry, and full-size laundry built into the house rather than shared, sleeping up to 10 and rated 4.83 across 142 reviews. The Amelia House in Parramore is the farthest of the three at about 14 minutes, a four-bedroom, two-bathroom house where one bedroom has its own attached bathroom, a detail worth knowing if two people on the same trip keep different schedules. It sleeps up to 8 and holds a 4.83 rating from 6 reviews.

The Dollins, Londonderry and Sunset Lake houses tie Amelia’s Arena Retreat at about 14 minutes each; The Clue House is about 16; the Meet & Play, Entertainment and Cozy houses are about 17; and the Piedmont and Wekiwa houses tie for the farthest at about 18.

Where the homes sit around the campus

The map places each home in its true compass direction from AdventHealth Winter Park, with the distance from the centre showing drive time by road rather than miles. The rings run in even steps out from the campus, so a home inside the innermost ring is a short hop up Lee Road, and one nearer the outer edge means crossing more of the metro to get there. WinterPark Home, in Lockhart, sits closest at about 6 minutes, and from there the ring order does not run in one straight line across the metro: Fruit Tree Home, south of downtown, and Amelia’s Arena Retreat, on the downtown edge, both land in the middle rings well ahead of the outer edge, while the two homes that actually reach the outermost ring, the Piedmont and Wekiwa houses, sit in West Orlando at about 18 minutes each.

The Lockhart and Rosemont pages describe WinterPark Home's own corner of the city in detail; the Pine Hills homes sit a little farther west in the same northwest cluster. The Parramore and Holden Heights pages cover the downtown-edge homes, and Washington Shores and Malibu Groves cover the west-side cluster on the far side of the map from this campus. Two homes on different sides of the map can still land on the same drive time, so read the numbers and the neighborhood pages together rather than picking a home on distance alone.

The shift commute

Every drive time on this page is a road-routing estimate with no traffic factored in, and for a hospital shift that gap is exactly when it matters. AdventHealth Winter Park sits on Lee Road, and the Lockhart and Rosemont homes reach it heading north on I-4 or US-441 (Orange Blossom Trail); homes further into the downtown edge or the west side make the same trip on a longer version of that route, often by way of SR-408. Shift timing changes the drive more than the mileage does: heading toward Lee Road early in the morning or late at night runs against the heaviest flow rather than into it, while a shift that starts in the middle of the afternoon lines up with the build-up on I-4 headed north.

The tolled roads in the mix, mainly SR-408, bill by transponder or by license plate, and paying by plate runs more expensive per trip than a transponder does. For a contract running more than a few weeks, picking up a SunPass or an E-PASS early is worth the small effort. Coming from WinterPark Home, US-441 gets you to Lee Road on a free surface road the whole way, so the toll question mostly applies to homes on the west side and the downtown edge that route through SR-408 to reach I-4.

Parking is documented home by home rather than as one blanket rule. The Katherine, 25th Street, Amelia, Dollins and Head Avenue houses each have a private driveway, City and Stadium Sanctuary Vibes has a carport, the Meet & Play and Entertainment houses each have an attached garage, Piedmont has a concrete parking pad that fits several vehicles, and Wekiwa Home has its own private parking area. Pulling in after a night shift at any of those means walking straight to the door instead of hunting for a curb. What the hospital expects for staff or visitor parking is worth confirming with your unit or your agency, since that side of the campus is outside anything we manage. Our guide on getting around Orlando for work goes deeper into the highways and the toll system for anyone new to the area.

For travel clinicians

For a clinical contract, we build a monthly agreement around your actual dates rather than a generic lease term. It names the home, the dates, the rate and the deposit, and it comes with itemized monthly receipts your agency can process for a stipend or a reimbursement. If your agency needs to be the party on the paperwork instead of you, we write it that way. Extending by the month works the same way for a longer rotation: let us know as soon as an assignment looks like running past its original end date, and we will do what we can to hold the same house for the next month.

Fruit Tree Home

The homes themselves fit how a clinician actually lives during a contract. Fruit Tree Home has full-size laundry built into the house, so scrubs go straight from the hamper to the machine instead of a laundromat trip after a shift. WinterPark Home has a screened porch worth sitting on at the end of a long day, and it sits about 12 minutes from AdventHealth Altamonte Springs too, so a change in assignment inside the same AdventHealth system would not necessarily mean packing up. Amelia’s Arena Retreat pairs one bedroom with its own bathroom, useful when two people on the same contract are on opposite schedules. All three come stocked with cookware and dishes and have Wi-Fi working from the day you arrive.

Our travel nurse and medical housing page walks through the stipend paperwork in more detail and lists homes near AdventHealth's other Central Florida campuses in case your assignment moves within the system.

For families of a patient

A hotel room near a hospital gets expensive and cramped fast once a treatment stretches past a few days. Swapping it for a house a short drive from the campus changes the shape of the weeks that follow: relatives can take turns being there without each one renting a room of their own, meals get cooked instead of bought at the hospital cafeteria every night, and whoever pulled the overnight shift at the bedside has somewhere quiet to actually sleep during the day.

WinterPark Home, about 6 minutes from the campus, sleeps up to 8 across three bedrooms, with a community park a short walk away for kids who need to run off some energy between visits. Fruit Tree Home, about 12 minutes out, sleeps up to 10 across three bedrooms and two bathrooms, room enough for a bigger circle of family. Both take the same written-agreement approach we use for clinicians, priced and booked by the month, and both can roll into another month if a treatment plan changes shape, which happens more often than anyone plans for. For a shorter admission or a single procedure with a known date, the homes' Airbnb and Vrbo listings cover a nightly or weekly stay instead.

None of this is said lightly. We know the stakes are already high enough without confusion about who we are: Libema Properties rents houses, it does not provide medical care, and it has no relationship with AdventHealth beyond naming the campus so people can find us. What we control is answering quickly, putting the rate and deposit in writing, and staying loose on a schedule that no one but the doctors can set. Our page on housing for patients' families and our guide on staying near the hospital when someone you love is admitted go further into the practical side.

What's in the house

A home is ready to move into the moment you arrive, for a three-night stay around a procedure just as much as for a contract running months. The specifics differ a little house to house, and we confirm exactly what is included, along with the rate and the deposit, in writing when you inquire.

Exact inclusions vary a little by home and are confirmed in writing when you book.

None of the thirteen has a pool; they are residential houses on regular streets. Bedroom and bathroom counts match what each home's own listing publishes, and a sofa never counts as a bed. WinterPark Home, Fruit Tree Home and Amelia’s Arena Retreat each publish a street address on the site, three of the six homes that do; the remaining six publish only the neighborhood and zip code, with the exact address handed over once you book.

Living near the campus

WinterPark Home sits in Lockhart, and Lockhart is covered together with Rosemont and Pine Hills in our Pine Hills & Northwest Orlando area guide. For groceries, Presidente Supermarket on North Pine Hills Road and the Walmart Supercenter on West Princeton Street are the closest full stores, with Caribbean Supercenter and Enson Market a little further down West Colonial Drive for a wider shop. For a meal out, Island Jam Caribbean Cuisine and Golden Krust cover Haitian and Jamaican kitchens along the same corridor. Barnett Park, 159 acres with a splash pad, playgrounds and walking trails, is the area's big park, and the Silver Star Recreation Center and a 24-hour Planet Fitness cover a workout without driving far.

Downtown Winter Park's historic district on Park Avenue

Fruit Tree Home and Amelia’s Arena Retreat sit closer to downtown, in Holden Heights and Parramore, covered in our downtown and close-in area guide. The Publix at The Paramount on Lake Eola and a Publix on South Orange Avenue near Holden Heights handle groceries for both homes. Downtown's Lake Eola Park, with its roughly one-mile loop and Sunday farmers market, and the museums of Loch Haven Park are a short drive from either house, and the Downtown Orlando YMCA on North Mills Avenue covers a full workout with pools. For pharmacies, the Publix pharmacy at Lake Eola plus CVS and Walgreens downtown cover both homes.

Downtown Winter Park's own Park Avenue district is about 8 minutes from WinterPark Home, 11 from Fruit Tree Home and 12 from Amelia’s Arena Retreat, worth knowing if a family near the campus wants somewhere to walk between hospital visits. A car is the practical way to get around the Lockhart cluster, but the downtown-edge homes are a short drive from LYNX Central and the Church Street SunRail stop if you would rather leave the car parked on the day you need to go into the city.

Typical road-routing times without traffic.

Good to know

Common questions.

How far are the homes from AdventHealth Winter Park?

Between 6 and 18 minutes by road, depending on the home. The table on this page lists every home, and each home page has its own drive-time table.

Do you rent for a 13-week assignment?

Yes. Our homes are set up for monthly and multi-month stays, which covers a standard travel contract with room to extend.

Can I get a lease and receipts for my stipend?

Yes. We provide a written agreement and payment receipts you can submit to your agency for a housing stipend or reimbursement.

Can family of a patient stay with you?

Yes. Families keeping vigil for a long treatment often want a house near the campus with a kitchen and room for relatives. See our page on patient and family stays.

Do the drive times to AdventHealth Winter Park account for rush hour?

No. The 6-to-18-minute range on this page is typical road-routing time without traffic. AdventHealth Winter Park sits north of the city on Lee Road, so the Lockhart and Rosemont homes reach it on I-4 or US-441 without going anywhere near downtown, while the west-side and downtown-edge homes have a longer run up the same corridor, and that longer run is the one that feels rush hour the most.

Is there a toll road on the way to AdventHealth Winter Park?

It depends which home you start from. From WinterPark Home, the direct route on US-441 (Orange Blossom Trail) does not require a toll road. Homes that route through SR-408 to reach I-4 will cross a tolled expressway on the way; a SunPass or E-PASS transponder is worth setting up for a stay of any length, since paying by plate costs more per trip.

Can I bring a pet for a stay near AdventHealth Winter Park?

Several of our homes accept pets. Tell us about your pet when you inquire and we will confirm the policy and any deposit in writing before you commit, the same as we do for every booking. WinterPark Home, Fruit Tree Home and Amelia’s Arena Retreat all have fenced yards, which some guests traveling with a dog find useful.

What happens if my assignment or my family's stay near AdventHealth Winter Park runs longer than planned?

Extending by the month is straightforward. Let us know as soon as you know a rotation or a treatment timeline is stretching, and we will do what we can to hold the same house for the following month so you are not forced to pack up and move mid-stay.

Which home near AdventHealth Winter Park has a full-size washer and dryer?

Fruit Tree Home, about 12 minutes from the campus in Holden Heights, has full-size laundry on site rather than a stacked or shared unit. It is a three-bedroom, two-bathroom bungalow that also has keyless entry, handy for getting in after a late shift.

Is Libema Properties affiliated with AdventHealth?

No. Libema Properties is an independent housing company. AdventHealth and AdventHealth Winter Park are trademarks of their owner, and we are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the hospital. This page exists so people with business at that campus, clinicians and patients' families alike, can find a furnished house nearby.
