01Winter Park

Winter Park was laid out in the 1880s as a winter resort and kept the plan: brick streets, oak canopy, a chain of lakes and a main street, Park Avenue, of shops, restaurants and a central park with a train stop. Rollins College sits at the avenue's south end on Lake Virginia, and the Charles Hosmer Morse Museum of American Art on the north end holds the country's most complete collection of Louis Comfort Tiffany's work, including the chapel he built for the 1893 world's fair.

The Winter Park Scenic Boat Tour has run pontoon boats through the lakes and canals since 1938; the Saturday farmers' market fills the old train depot; and the Winter Park Sidewalk Art Festival, held every March since 1960, closes Park Avenue for a weekend of several hundred artists.

WinterPark Home in Lockhart is the north-side home and the closest to Winter Park; the downtown-edge homes are next. The table below gives every home's drive time.
