Where to Stay for a Game at Camping World Stadium or the Kia Center

The venues, what plays where, how far our homes are from each, and how to handle parking on an event night.

Inside the house at City and Stadium Sanctuary Vibes, a Libema home in Orlando

Orlando's big venues sit in a tight cluster on the west edge of downtown, and so do our homes. If you are coming for a bowl game, a concert, a Magic game or an Orlando City match, a house a few minutes from the stadium with its own driveway is a better weekend than a downtown hotel at event-night pricing. Here is how the venues and the homes line up.

The venues

  • Camping World Stadium on West Church Street is the big one, with room for roughly 65,000. It hosts the Citrus Bowl and the Pop-Tarts Bowl in the college-football postseason, the Florida Classic between Florida A&M and Bethune-Cookman each November, stadium concerts and touring shows.
  • The Kia Center, a mile east in Parramore, is home to the Orlando Magic and the Orlando Solar Bears, and hosts arena concerts and family shows through the year.
  • Inter.co Stadium, a few blocks from the Kia Center, is where Orlando City SC and the Orlando Pride play.
  • The Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts downtown hosts touring Broadway and concerts.

Parking and getting there

Event parking near Camping World Stadium is a mix of official lots and neighborhood lots, and the streets nearest the stadium close or slow down before and after an event. Our advice for the biggest nights: leave the car in the driveway and ride-share the last mile. From City and Stadium Sanctuary Vibes or Game Day Getaway-Downtown Orlando that is a short trip, and you skip the exit crawl entirely. For the Kia Center and Inter.co Stadium, downtown garages are the usual option; check the venue's own parking page for the event, as arrangements change.

The house on a game weekend

A group of eight to thirteen fits in one of our stadium-side homes, which changes the weekend. Breakfast at the house, a pre-game meal at a real table, the game, and back to a living room and a yard instead of a hotel corridor. Game Day Getaway-Downtown Orlando sleeps thirteen across four bedrooms; Amelia’s Arena Retreat sleeps eight; City and Stadium Sanctuary Vibes sleeps eight in a small bungalow under a live oak.

Two house rules matter on event weekends. The homes are in residential neighborhoods, so a group meal before the game is fine and a party is not. And the guest count on the booking is the guest count in the house.

Booking

Bowl weeks, the Florida Classic weekend and big concerts book early, sometimes months out. Nightly stays are available on Airbnb and Vrbo (the links are on each home page) or by inquiring with us directly. If you want the whole group in one place, ask about pairing two homes in Washington Shores. The game-day page has the rest.

The homes farther from the arena district

The six homes in the table above are the ones closest to Camping World Stadium and the Kia Center. Libema keeps six more homes across Pine Hills, Rosemont, Lockhart and Hiawassee, and on a bowl weekend or a big concert the closest houses are often the first ones to book out. Pine Hills and Rosemont are northwest Orlando neighborhoods off Silver Star Road, Clarcona-Ocoee Road and US-441. Lockhart is farther north along that same US-441 corridor, and Hiawassee is the farthest west of all, out toward the SR-429 beltway. All of them reach downtown by the same SR-408 and I-4 routes the stadium-side homes use, so the difference is a few extra minutes on the highway, not a different way in.

Here is exactly how each one runs. The Head Avenue House in Pine Hills is about 8 minutes from the stadium and 10 from the Kia Center. The Entertainment House and the Cozy House, both also in Pine Hills, run about 8 minutes to the stadium and 11 to the arena. The Londonderry House, a few streets over, is about 11 and 14. The Katherine House up in Lockhart is farther out at 15 minutes to the stadium, though its run to the Kia Center is a shorter 12 by way of US-441 and I-4. The Wekiwa House, our farthest-west home, is 14 minutes from the stadium and 17 from the arena, the longest arena drive among these six houses.

Typical road-routing times without traffic; Orlando rush hours add to the longer routes.

None of these six is a poor pick for a game or a concert. They sit a few more minutes down SR-408 or I-4, and on a weekend when the stadium-side homes are already booked, they are usually still open, often at a size that fits a bigger group than the closest houses do. WinterPark Home also has a screened porch and sits a short walk from a community park, a fair trade for a few extra minutes if your group wants a quieter street to come home to after the game. During the busiest weekends of the year, when the stadium-side cluster fills first, these six are the fallback that keeps a group together under one roof instead of splitting into two bookings across town.

Choosing a home by group size

A stadium or arena weekend is often a bigger group than a typical stay, and the thirteen homes range from six sleepers up to fifteen. The Head Avenue House in Pine Hills is the largest in the portfolio: six bedrooms and three bathrooms, sleeping up to fifteen, with full-size laundry and an in-home desk left over from its work-stay use the rest of the year. The Piedmont House sleeps fourteen across four bedrooms and three bathrooms, with a foosball table and arcade basketball in its game corner for the hours before kickoff. The Entertainment House sleeps eleven across three bedrooms plus a bonus room, with its own foosball table and table tennis set.

On the smaller end, the Londonderry House sleeps eight with a bunk room built for two sets of bunk beds, which suits a group of kids or a crew that would rather not pair up two to a bed. The Cozy House and the Katherine House each sleep eight as well, one bathroom apiece, worth knowing before a full house all tries to get ready for a noon kickoff at once. The Wekiwa House sleeps six and suits a couple or two couples who would rather not share a house with a crowd. The Clue House is an older concrete-block home with simple, practical furnishings, worth knowing before a big group arrives expecting new construction. Piedmont is plain inside too: compact bedrooms with simple furnishings under an open living and dining area with a vaulted ceiling.

The Meet & Play House in Malibu Groves is worth a separate mention for a mixed group. It sleeps nine across three bedrooms, two of them set up with a desk, so part of the group can work a normal day while the rest is at the game, and its dedicated game room with a pool table and a dart board gives everyone somewhere to be once the group is back together in the evening.

One review from Entertainment Home shows why the bigger houses get booked for a tournament or a team trip. Dung, who stayed in January 2025, wrote: 'Michelle is very supportive. Let's us move to a bigger property to accommodate our team and also let's us checked in early. Thanks PS. We will come back next year if our team continue participating in sport tournament'. Matching the house to the head count before you book, rather than after everyone has already booked a flight, is the step that saves the scramble.

What's already set up for game day

Every home comes with the same baseline, confirmed in writing when you book: furniture, beds and linens, a stocked kitchen, a washer and dryer, Wi-Fi and private parking. The exact list for your dates is confirmed in writing before you pay, so nobody is guessing at what's in the house when the group's van pulls into the driveway.

Exact inclusions vary a little by home and are confirmed in writing when you book.

On an event weekend those basics do specific work. The kitchen means breakfast and a pregame meal happen at your own table instead of a concession line on the way to the lot, and the washer and dryer mean jerseys, tailgate blankets or a rained-on jacket go in the machine that night instead of home in a bag. Parking is where the homes differ from each other:

None of it costs extra, and none of it is a shared lot with another unit's guests.

The game rooms help too, on a weekend when part of the group would rather watch a different game than go to the stadium. The Piedmont House has a foosball table and arcade basketball, the Entertainment House has foosball and table tennis, and the Meet & Play House has a full-size pool table and a dart board in a room off the kitchen. A few of the homes run on a single bathroom for the whole group: Cozy Home, City and Stadium Sanctuary Vibes and WinterPark Home each have one bathroom for up to eight sleepers. The larger homes, Head Avenue and Piedmont, each carry three bathrooms for exactly that reason.

The Fairgrounds and the Dr. Phillips Center

Camping World Stadium and the Kia Center are not the only stages in town. The Central Florida Fairgrounds, on West Colonial Drive, runs the Central Florida Fair each spring and hosts concerts at the Orlando Amphitheater through the rest of the year, and several of our Pine Hills and west-side homes sit right on its doorstep. The Head Avenue House is about 3 minutes away, the Meet & Play House, the Entertainment House and the Cozy House are each about 4, and the Amelia House is 5. The Fair itself only runs for a few weeks each spring, but the Amphitheater's concert calendar runs most of the year, so it is worth checking regardless of the season. Tickets and schedules for both venues are set independently of ours, so once you have a date in mind, checking the Fairgrounds and Dr. Phillips Center calendars directly is the next step.

Downtown, the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts runs touring Broadway and concerts year-round. The Amelia House, the Dollins House, the Sunset Lake House and the 25th Street House are each about 7 minutes away, the Meet & Play House is 9, and the Pine Hills and Lockhart homes run 11 to 14.

If your event is a show rather than a game, the same homes on the drive-time table above still work; only the destination in your map app changes.

Getting downtown without a car

Two of our homes sit close enough to downtown to skip the car for part of the trip. The Amelia House and the 25th Street House are both a short drive from the two SunRail stations, LYNX Central and Church Street, which run the regional line north toward Winter Park and Sanford and south toward Kissimmee, and from the free LYMMO bus that circulates the downtown core all day. If part of your group is coming in along that line for the game, meeting at one of these two homes and riding the free bus the rest of the way into the arena district cuts out a second car for the day.

Everywhere else in the portfolio, plan on driving. SR-408 and I-4 reach every home in the twelve, and both are tolled, so a SunPass or E-PASS transponder pays for itself on a weekend with more than one trip through the plaza. Out in Pine Hills, Rosemont, Lockhart and Hiawassee there is no SunRail or rail transit at all; LYNX buses run the main roads, but a car is the practical way to reach the venues from those homes. Orlando's rush hours still apply on a game day afternoon, so building in extra time on the drive in beats rushing the parking lot.

A full day around the game

If the group is arriving early or staying an extra night, Lake Eola Park is the easy add-on from the downtown-edge and west-side homes: a roughly one-mile sidewalk loop, the resident swans, pedal-powered swan boats, and a Sunday farmers market from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. with food stalls, local makers and live music. It runs about 8 minutes from the Amelia House, the Dollins House, the Sunset Lake House and the 25th Street House, close enough to fit before an afternoon game or after a night one.

For a family group staying an extra day, Loch Haven Park north of downtown gathers the Orlando Museum of Art, the Orlando Science Center, Orlando Shakes and Orlando Family Stage in one place, with the Mennello Museum of American Art beside it. It is an easy add to a downtown weekend built around a game, and nobody has to pick a single museum over the others. College Park, a short drive north of the downtown-edge homes, adds a walkable strip of restaurants on Edgewater Drive for a sit-down dinner away from the game-day crowds: Adriatico Trattoria for Italian, Zeytin for Turkish, and Christo's Cafe for a plain breakfast the next morning before everyone heads home.

Back at the house, a meal at a real table beats another line at the stadium. The Entertainment House seats six at its dining table, right off a kitchen with an island, and the Meet & Play House seats the same number at its own table beside a kitchen island.

The reviews below are real, taken verbatim from City and Stadium Sanctuary Vibes's own Airbnb listing, with the reviewer's name and the month they stayed.

"The host was very responsive and friendly! The house was spotless when we arrived and the check in instructions were very clear. I would definitely recommend the home for a stay!"

Nadia, who stayed one night at City and Stadium Sanctuary Vibes in April 2025 for a festival rather than a game, wrote: 'Stayed for one night for a festival in town. Home close to the venue and was convenient for low Uber and/or Lyft prices. Neighborhood isn’t the best but I never felt unsafe. Affordable prices for a big group.' Two more, from Game Day Getaway-Downtown Orlando, speak straight to the stadium use case. Isiah, in May 2026, wrote: 'We stayed at Michelle’s place for an event at the camping world stadium. This is a perfect spot location wise for it. It’s about a 15 minute walk and a 2 minute drive to the stadium. It has a private feel to it and is very solid for big groups.' Abigail, in April 2026, wrote: 'Wonderful home close to stadium and less than 15 minutes away from the central FL fairgrounds. Home was clean, amenities were provided, and hosts were very responsive.' Together the two show the same pattern from different angles: a house near the stadium works because it holds a group, it has its own parking, and nobody is paying for a second room down the hall.

More reading for teams and groups

If a stadium weekend is really a tournament, a reunion or a wedding party, two of our other guides go deeper on the group side of it: how to fit a whole team under one roof, and how to put a bigger reunion across more than one house without a hotel block.

And the groups and reunions page lists every home that sleeps eight or more in one place, useful if the head count is still moving around as the date gets closer. Either way, the same thirteen homes and the same drive-time facts on this page apply; only the number of bedrooms you need changes.
