The Katherine House in Lockhart is about 4 minutes away by road. The next tier is 14 minutes, shared by the 25th Street House in Holden Heights and the Londonderry House in Pine Hills. These are typical road-routing times without traffic, and Orlando's morning and evening rush add to the longer routes. Lockhart runs along US-441, Orange Blossom Trail, and that short hop to I-4 keeps WinterPark Home's trip quick. The Pine Hills homes reach I-4 by way of the SR-408 East-West Expressway, a toll road collected by transponder or plate; a SunPass or E-PASS is worth setting up for a longer assignment. The Parramore, Holden Heights and Washington Shores homes lean on I-4 and SR-408 from farther down each corridor.

A regular office schedule tests these numbers more than a flexible one does. Arriving by 8 or 9 and leaving in the late afternoon runs into both of Orlando's rush hours on most of these routes, so WinterPark Home's short hop matters more than it would for hours that dodge the peaks. From Lockhart the trip is short enough for surface streets to carry it if I-4 is backed up; farther out, SR-408 or I-4 is the only practical way in.

Both are about 14 minutes from the campus. It has one full bathroom with a marble-look walk-in shower plus a half bath, so a bigger household shares one shower, and it does not yet carry Airbnb reviews. The front yard is sandy and sparse, and the backyard is still being finished, so plan on indoor time for now. Its bunk room helps a relocating family with children, since two sets of bunk beds split easily between siblings or trainees sharing a room.

08Billing for a relocation, training program or project

Around Downtown & Stadium Cozy Retreat, the Pine Hills and Rosemont cluster gives you a wide choice of grocery stores within a few minutes: Presidente Supermarket, a Latin grocer on North Pine Hills Road; Caribbean Supercenter and Enson Market, an Asian supermarket, both on West Colonial Drive; and a Walmart Supercenter on West Princeton Street. Golden Krust, at West Colonial and North Kirkman, is a solid stop for Jamaican beef patties and jerk chicken, and Island Jam Caribbean Cuisine on North Pine Hills Road is known for griot and fried plantains. Barnett Park, a 159-acre county park on West Colonial Drive, has a splash pad, walking trails and disc golf, and the Silver Star Recreation Center adds a fitness room.

Around Fruit Tree Home in Holden Heights, the closer grocery run is the Publix on South Orange Avenue, and the Downtown Orlando YMCA on North Mills Avenue is a short drive for a full-service gym with two pools. Pharmacies are easy to reach from any of the three homes: a Walmart Supercenter on Princeton Street plus CVS and Walgreens along Silver Star and Pine Hills roads cover the Lockhart and Pine Hills homes, and downtown's CVS and Walgreens are a short drive from Fruit Tree Home.

This part of the metro is built for driving. LYNX buses cover the main roads near the Katherine and Londonderry houses, but there is no SunRail stop out this way, so plan on a car for errands. Closer to downtown, Fruit Tree Home sits a few minutes from LYNX Central, the region's main bus hub, for days when you would rather leave the car parked.
